The room was nice, a little empty, but the king-size bed was made of two mattresses put together, which I didn't like. The hotel bar was in a great location, with a beautiful view and good drinks. The overall service was very warm, but one staff member at the reception made me feel uncomfortable. When I wanted to book a shuttle bus, he repeatedly emphasized that this service was only for guests staying in the hotel, but I had clearly told him that I was staying in the hotel. I'm not sure if his repeated emphasis was based on me being Asian or based on my sloppy dressing, which made me feel uncomfortable. I hope to strengthen employee training.

Everything was excellent, from the time we arrived, until the time we left....did not want to leave! The rooms are beautiful, the location is central to shops, walking around town, and all the restaurants. The new terrace is stunning. The pool area is so inviting. The shuttle to the beach is simplified and the beach is beautiful. This is a place we would definitely want to re-visit.

We had dinner at the fabulous Timeo restaurant last night. Let’s start with the positives: - we received a wonderful welcome by the front of house staff - we couldn’t have asked for a better table - right at the front of the terrace - the views are spectacular - the food was fabulous However, service during the meal was not great: - it was not clear who was looking after us, we had 4 or 5 people coming by at various points - it didn’t feel like a personal service, in fact it felt a bit sloppy - the sommelier made a mistake with our drinks order twice - my steak knife was clumsily thrown on to my place setting - we also felt quite rushed - paying our bill at the end was slow and I had to ask someone at least 3 times to pay ( we were paying customers not hotel guests) For an expensive meal, the service was poor and made the experience a little disappointing. I also overheard the table next to us complaining about the service. Maybe it was an off night, as you were busy, but no excuse given the stature of your hotel

This hotel is simply grand. The grounds are meticulously well-maintained. Views of the Mediterranean Sea are amazing. Staff are pleasant and genuinely hospitable. There is always a greeting and a smile. They pay attention to detail. Our room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. Amenities are as can be expected with this type of hotel. There is turn down service. Breakfast was a great start to our day. Main dishes are ordered from the menu and cooked to order. The bar is a great place for well-made cocktails and food. Both offer awesome views of the sea, mountains, Mt. Etna and the hotel grounds below. The check-in/out process was quick and easy. Booking directly online was also easy. The hotel is located in the heart of the town. It's within walking distance to restaurants, shops and places of interest. This is the place to stay when planning a trip to Taormina.

Restaurant on the terrace is like in a drim. With view on Etna volkano, perfect food and coctail, you feel amazing. Service is very profesional, especially Fabio which was kind and helpful, in grate mood to please every demand we had. Every recomendation for this grate spot in Taormina.

Stopped at the restaurant overlooking Mt Etna and was served by the most pleasant server, Fabio. His service was attentive and his personality was wonderful. Excellent experience! The Hotel Grand Timeo was very well represented by this gentleman.
