"Our stay was good but their front line staff need to improve their friendliness, gentility, kindness, and patience with their customers. I think they should smile more, listen more and have more of a pleasant disposition. I encountered 5 different people at the front desk during my stay for this week, and only 1 of them imbibed the qualities I mentioned above. The room service was also below average and the cleaning service was delayed and super slow. One day, the cleaned our room at 5:30pm, another day they forgot to place towels after cleaning and we had to wait till the morning before towels were made available to us."

"The Union Hotel was perfect for us. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Location was best for being one block from Union Station and walking distance to CN Tower and Ripleys aquarium. It’s aLao about a 20 minute walk to Eaton Center and Chinatown. Breakfast wasn’t included in our stay, but they did have a small menu at the Humble Donkey restaurant in the hotel. It’s a combination food and bar. We did have breakfast there and the food was excellent."

"On arrival a lovely clean looking foyer. Found the initial lady behind the desk quite abrupt and not very friendly. The room was the right size for us. It was not the cleanest of rooms with dust and dirt in places. Also the vent leaked water all over my belongings. We did have an issue with the toilet not flushing but someone did come very quickly to fix it. The breakfast was very good and the evening reception was a nice touch, although pretty busy each night and hard at times to get served. The regular airport shuttle bus was very good and prompt."

The hotel is conveniently located near Toronto Pearson Airport, with a shuttle service every half hour between the airport and the hotel. The facilities are new, the bedding is comfortable, and the soundproofing is excellent, so it's not noisy despite being near the airport."

"I booked a twin sea-view room and it was quite nice. On the first day of check-in, the duvet cover had a strange smell, as if it hadn't been changed. In the afternoon, Indian housekeeping staff in the next room were talking loudly on the phone. On the first day, housekeeping provided a tiny bottle of mouthwash. We didn't request housekeeping on the second day. On the third day, when housekeeping came to clean, they didn't provide the small bottle of mouthwash, which was a bit disappointing."
