Great
NNgMoonI was initially apprehensive about staying in an ”old” hotel, but my worries came to rest. It was similar to a cottage theme with very clean rooms and adequate amentities. Staff were always very friendly, greeting us everytime we leave and return to the hotel, and responds promptly to our housekeeping requests. 10 minutes from the hotel, there is a park with a calming stream, a great place to rest and rewind from the busy city life. Nearest train station is just 5 minutes walk away, and a 30-45 minutes car ride to downtown. Some downsides though, there are no nearby restaurants besides the one in the hotel, and no nearby supermarkets. Utensils were not provided in the room so be prepared to bring your own set. Hotel lifts seem a bit worn out but had not broken down during my stay. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay given the calm surrounding vibes and amazing service. I would consider returning in the future

GGuest UserThe hotel is ideally situated of the front of the lake with the ferries to the islands just outside. An underground stop is just across the road with links to Union station and elsewhere. There are also a selection of buses that pass and a hop on hop off stop is about 10 mins walk. You can walk most places in central Toronto from hotel if you wish and are happy walking. You can choose which street suits you best on your walk and change route for variation as only a block apart and will all get you to central Toronto. You are maybe about 15 mins from the Blue Jays and CN tower so hotel is in a great location. Billy Bishop airport is about a 20 min walk and would be convenient if you can get flights to or from there to your destination. The communal areas in the hotel look very nice, as is the entrance if being dropped off by car. However there is work going on around the outside of the hotel and if walking to and from the hotel it isn’t so pleasant on the eye. My bedroom was spacious but felt dated and would be nice to see a more updated look. However the view onto the lake more than made up for that minor irritation. The staff were all great and helpful when asked. There was various things going on from regular activities in the leisure area to free ice cream and wine ( not together unfortunately ) and music in the afternoon. The leisure facilities were great with a pool, sauna, steam room and gym as well as an outside area (5th floor) for sitting outside while the kids could play. There was a tennis court and a basket ball hoop. There was also an oppertunity to use cycles and go for a run possibly with a guide. We didn’t eat at the hotel so couldn’t comment but the did have a restaurant on the top of there south tower that would give great views. We did grab a coffee and snack from across the street and would enjoy sitting on the benches just along from the hotel looking into the lake in the morning. All in all one of the older hotels ( I think) in a great location with great views and facilities which met our needs.

MMami TrilliumFront Desk personnel particularly Alejandro assisted us very well. Norma from cleaning dept is amazing. Maintenance service was great. The people from the breakfast area are helpful, kind, and great customer service. Our only concern was we are asked to give 100CAD depo and we have checked out at 1pm today. But the revert of deposit was not yet credited to my son. The didnt even gave us a receipt or voucher. Can you please help us to follow up the revertdeposit.

WWEN HUIThe stay in Canopy was good overall - The hotel was quiet and clean. The wifi was good. Also, close to a metro station of Sherbourne. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and prompt to address the requirement I need. Our room type was ”two queen beds room”, it's adequate in size with a clean and bright, minimalist swedish design that i found quite appealing. i must admit i was a little disappointed by the lack of any view - just the windows of the neighboring apartment building. My favorite amenities were the drawer refrigerator, which was big enough for putting the stuffs what we bought but of course there are your standard amenities too - espresso maker, electric tea kettle. I should also mention that there's a glass bottle available for water that you need to fetch out in the lobby of the floor, where the water dispenser is. It's no inconvenience at all but it's environmentally friendly.

GGuest UserThe service of W Hotel is better than that of Sydney and Melbourne. There is a Chinese front desk. Check-in is also very fast. It can be checked in at a little after 1 o'clock! When I arrived at the hotel, it was far away to get the luggage, and they came to help me. It was very active. This is better than other overseas hotels! But the room is decorated in an open bathroom. The socket is not working. The toothbrush delivery is very slow. No one delivered it all night. There is no swimming pool. The hotel windows should be cleaned again. The windows cannot be opened. The breakfast is very exquisite! The size is the mini version of W Hotel in Sydney and Melbourne, but W Hotel is considered new abroad. Other hotels are too old. It is still a choice.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is pretty nice, clean and the design is very good. The common space is quite cozy and good to hang out with friends or work (from anywhere).  All staff are very welcoming, friendly, and polite. We booked the room with breakfast included. The breakfast has an entree with a drink. The taste of the breakfast is quite good. The public parking is quite close, but the exit of the parking is on the other side of the road. The only downside of this stay is there were a bit loud noise in both mornings from the street, sounds like from the car/truck loadings (I'm not sure). The sound started from around 6.30am ish, which is a bit too early for us. Anw, overall we are pretty happy staying at The Union Hotel.

GGuest UserThe location is great, among shops and restaurants. The lobby is quite small, with only a couple of couches to sit. There is a restaurant and bar in the restaurant as well, with tables and chairs but the division is not as clear between what is lounge area for hotel guests and restaurant seatings. We were waiting for our room to be serviced and my husband sat at a table to do some work on the labtop and only about 20% of the restaurant had customers with the remaining tables empty. He was approached by a couple of waitstaff and he explained that he's there to do some work and didn't want to order any food. At which point, a manager approached him and asked him to move to the sofa area and not occupy a table and he did and then the manager approached him again, asking what room are we staying in as well as other details. There's not much work/lounge space in the area at all. I feel that they could have let him sit at a table, considering many of the tables were not occupied. I've seen people sit there on a previous day with their laptops and not order anything. So it was kind of unpleasant that that happened. Also, our room had absolutely no natural light, which made it very depressing. I don't know if I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Toronto.

GGuest UserI want to start by saying how happy I am that the host let us check in an hour earlier since it starts at 5pm instead of the regular 3pm. This is an Airbnb type of place that requires you to put a $450 deposit for a one night stay which I thought it was very high. The location is amazing, walking distance to the CN tower and restaurants. It is a very cute place except for the cleanliness. The place was DIRTY. We decided to not use the shower because it was full of mold and hair (picture attached), there was hair everywhere! We saw there was a washer and dryer but the washer was full of towels that yet needed to be dry so we decided not to use. There were stains in the bed sheets so we decided to lay some of our own towels on top to sleep. We also decided to not touch the kitchen because the burner was broken and we did not want to cause a fire or something like that. Over all, it was decent for a one night stay but they need to fire the cleaner because I believe it is an easy fix to be a better place to stay.
