There is no shower and no lights. We are ready, but we live on the first floor and we were chopped to death by the people on the second floor. We were still walking around at two o'clock in the morning, and there were people arguing next door until late đ„č All the staff's services can't be said. In other words, this place is enough for a day. The price/performance ratio is not too high, and the breakfast is good.

We had an amazing time at Tago for our honeymoon. We stayed for 9 days. The rooms were beautifully situated right on the beach with private pools. They were also very big, comfortable and had air conditioning. It was not too busy being low season, which was perfect as it felt like everything was just for us. The food was amazing and the staff really went out of their way to make sure the trip was perfect. Betty helped book trips, activities and anything else with needed, she was amazing! Also supported by Luis and the great bartender Aimee who made some unique tasty drinks. We received desserts to the room each night and welcome messages in the sand every morning. The location was perfect and allowed for a 15 minute walk down the beach to other restaurants and cafes. Could not have asked for a better experience.

We had an overall wonderful experience for our 7 days spent at Hotelito Azul! We went with another couple and each stayed in the Oceanfront Suites (we were above them, they were ground level). The rooms were clean and spacious. Somewhat limited storage for clothes but we made the best of the shelving/hanging unit provided. The shower is a dream. The maid service cleaned our room daily and did a wonderful job! We loved the treats left on our pillows each day. AC was yours to control. One challenge we faced that would have a simple fix was the lack of rugs in the room. Youâre walking through sand to get to your room and yes, thereâs a bucket of water to rinse before entering however we were desperate for a small outdoor rug or just something at either the sides or foot of the bed to brush off sand before getting in bed. Interestingly, our friends downstairs had an awesome runner at the foot of their bed so maybe just consistency with that would make a huge difference! You wake to a cute basket with coffee each morning and they will refill your drinking water as much as you need it in the room. We canât say enough good things about the staff. You communicate to them through WhatâsApp which offered quick responses to any questions or concerns or when ordering food/drink. Larissa, the concierge was WONDERFUL. She welcomed us every day and made us feel right at home and taken care of during our stay. She helped fill out trip with wonderful experiences whether it be tours, great local spots for food/drink or logistics. We rented scooters from the hotel the majority of our vacation days and it was well worth it. We did find the prices just across the street were cheaper however we liked the convenience of renting through the hotel. The food and drink at the hotel is all delicious, although we quickly learned that eating and drinking on the beach does get expensive, so we chose wisely when/how much we ate at the hotel. This just comes with the location. The physical location of the hotel is ideal because it isnât too far down into the beach strip, which traffic became pretty bad the further you drove in. The aesthetic and details of the hotel are perfect for making you feel like youâre living in a whimsical jungle. FYI to all looking to stay on the beach in Tulum, during April-November or so, Tulum gets a massive amount of seaweed that makes it nearly impossible to swim in the ocean. The hotels, including Hotelito Azul, do their best to remove as much seaweed from the beach as possible, but man, is it an uphill battle. This limited our ability to sit out on the beach unfortunately, because the only relief from the heat was the outdoor shower. Which, again, is lovely, but not the ocean. Luckily, Tulum has so many other wonderful things to do that we did not feel this impacted our trip in any significant way. Those that travel during the better months have a lovely beachfront area to look forward to at Hotelito Azul. All in all, we loved our stay at this hotel and look forward to returning in the future! Thank you all!

We stayed at La Valise for our honeymoon, and it was the perfect vacation. The staff made sure our stay was personalized to us. From the welcome drinks, champagne in our room, and greetings throughout the property by name, we felt at home at La Valise. When the wifi in our room went out and we were getting swarmed by mosquitoes in our outdoor bathroom, they happily upgraded us to a larger room with an indoor bathroom. La Valise offers everything you'd need in Tulum, from on site restaurants and events, to a spa right next door. They're happy to make recommendations and reservations for nearby restaurants. The spa was incredible. We did the ârelaxing massageâ and liked it so much we booked another a few days later. Book transport through them to not have to deal with it at the airport. They'll handle your luggage for you from the airport to your room. 10/10 would recommend.

On the day of the check-in, it was the birthday of my husband. I told the front desk but they didnât prepare any small cake. The room is ok but without a hair dryer, and it was not available. The breakfast was good.

We had a great time! Plenty of activities to do in plenty of things to see oh just a wonderful location. My only complaint is I was in Kassav four and the ice machine was never repaired the week I was there. I have to make that statement because itâs such an inconvenience to go to the other castles or qualifies so itâs all a complaint,

Outstanding
GGuest UserAmazing hotel. Amazing service. Amazing food. It has exceeded all of our expectations. 10 stars! Will definitely be coming back. The staff is amazing, always trying to accommodate you at the best level. . The decor, cleanliness and atmosphere makes you wanna stay there forever. We love la zebra. Great price as well. Makes is extremely reasonable. Thank you for your hospitality and amazing time in Tulum.
Beautiful boutique hotel with a kind team of workers! It feels like a little hidden gem tucked away off the beaten path. This hotel was my favorite part of my trip! Nicole at the front desk was very welcoming! The size of their suites is very generous and it's nice to have the space to spread out and relax. I loved having a full-sized kitchen area and they provide you with utensils, cookware, dishes, and everything you need to feel at home. The bed was on the firm side but very comfortable and it was nice to have separate air conditioning units in the bedroom and living room. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my breakfast was included each morning because I booked directly on their website. At the time I'm writing this taxis into centro town were around $200 - $300 pesos from this area and a taxi into the hotel zone ran around $40 - $50 US. I would absolutely come back!
GGuest UserHotel Muare is one of the more popular hotels in the Tulum area. It is a perfect getaway if you want to have a quiet time from the hustle-and-bustle of the city to recharge. The rooms are designed to look like houses in the remote places but with all the modern amenities. It also is a great option for someone who cares about staying at an Instagrammable hotel/resort. There is one restaurant which provides good food.
Negatives:
-Getting to the hotel will require you to drive through really broken dirt road with several pits.
-While the food options are good, if youâre someone with a dietary restrictions - e.g., vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, donât eat red meat or raw fish, etc. you may run out of options quickly. The staff is flexible though, so they may customize few dishes for your suiting.
-In general Tulum is expensive. However, Muare is up a notch. While it was a great place to stay, the price didnât seem justifiable to me. Specially, since I donât care as much about capturing Instagrammable photos.
-While the staffs are helpful and friendly, their extreme focus on getting money out of you is just off putting. Examples: we planned to have food by the pool and it took them forever to get us the food. They missed certain items in the order. We also had issues with our food (fly in maple syrup) which was still fine (since bugs/insects can fall in your food when you live in the nature). However, when we reported and asked for a replacement, they never returned with the fresh maple syrup. Finally, I had to go to the restaurant and pick it up myself. However, when it came to asking you to pay, they would run behind you to get your sign. On top of that, there is a default tip amount included in the bill which some of them may not even care to mention to you. While checking out as well, they added a hefty service charge to the bill - this on top of the already expensive booking fee.
Overall, my review is that it is a good place to stay. However, too expensive and the cost is not really justifiable. Plus for the good service they provide, it is really off putting when you see how focused theyâre on getting more money out of you in any way possible.
Pros: Very Friendly and attentive staff Comfortable beds and pillows Relaxing cenote area Vegan options First two days were tranquil and relaxing Small but clean pool in public area Towers were nice for watching sunrise Cool treehouse Price (don't expect the Ritz when you are paying for a Days Inn) Prompt cab service Can escape to excellent restaurant and beach clubs in town (via cab) âKansâ Lack of communication for reservations so we didn't get a room with the amenities we thought we were getting. Plunge pool ended up being a very small steep hot tub that was no longer circulating. (We were told we had the glass one pictured) Lukewarm bath water A concert transformed the whole area into an ecological travesty with chaos. Overrun with Influencers and Instagrammers who were not even guests of the property Excessively loud with doors shut and rear plus. Although owner offered to move is both the resort is so small it wouldn't have made a difference. Check in area had two rather foul mouth guests upon arrival. Not the best impression. Dirt road wasn't such a good idea. $40 for ten min cab ride (incl tip) to town each way Felt a bit trapped... Resort is very small. Menu items don't vary much . Ok for a day or two tho. Need coffee or juice earlier than 8:30am... Or coffee makers. There was an incredible lack of wildlife due to eco damage and noise.
3307olliecMixed reviews and feelings on this hotel... in general the apartments are clean, a good size, cleaners are friendly... we didnât use the pool even though it looked nice it didnât get any sun as itâs shadowed by two hotels, maybe a different time of year you can lay out in the sun, Iâm not sure? This isnât the hotel fault BUT literally 2 ft away directly next to Live Tulum is huge construction work going on, itâs the loudest concrete drilling Iâve ever heard and the floor was shaking, theyâve only just started the foundations so this work is right at the beginning stages of what looks like a new hotel being built next door. It wouldnât have been too much of a problem if my GF wasnât working remotely for 4 hrs every morning... it starts at 9am on the dot so if youâre up and out of the hotel for the day itâs probably nothing to worry about. We were miss sold on the free breakfast and not refunded that we booked through booking .com. The hotel said booking .com shouldnât have advertised the free breakfast but that was one of the reason we chose this place over another hotel, we wasnât reimbursed any money but was given a free bottle of Prosecco for the troubles which was nice... so just a heads up because of Covid there is No breakfast or free bike rentals at advertised. I think we were just unlucky and on another visit Iâm sure the hotel would have been a way better experience, itâs wasnât all bad. The location is at the better end of down town and you can walk to everywhere downtown... the Mayan Ruins near the beach took us 40 minutes to walk to and a taxi to the Hotel Zone will cost between $200pesos - $400peso each way depending how are down the zone you go. 7/10 is a fair rating.
Iâm so glad we stayed here. The hotel was great and the staff was so kind throughout our trip. We loved the social hour, the snacks and cocktails were terrific. We stayed for four nights and were able to borrow bikes to ride to the beach, to cenotes, or into town. Huge thank you to everyone there, especially Daniela, Edwars, Luis, and Pedro, for making the trip so special and helping me celebrate my birthday. We already canât wait to come back.
We love it! The rooftop restaurant and pool is luxurious and fun. Angel and Eduardo were our attentive, professional and friendly waiters. The food was fresh and tasty. We loved the lemon pie and quinoa bowl! The room is contemporary, clean and includes everything you need. The front desk staff are great too! They helped us coordinate a local tour. Paula was great. A 7-11, retail shops, spas and restaurants are all within walking distance. We loved this hotel and wouldnât change a thing. We stayed for five nights and it was the perfect length to relax and explore the area. We plan to return for another relaxing vacation.
Sol is an amazing instructor of Acro!! We started with just basic warm ups and Sol ended up teaching me a head stand in my first class. Just all around fun and good vibes in the class, Iâd go to every single class if I could. she also does a 7am run class which Iâm really excited about trying!
LLuis Fernando QuirozThe hotel is located around 1,5 km from a bus station. It was quite easy to find. In front of it there is a huge supermarket, many bars and restaurants around. The room was clean, it has all the amenities in it including beach towels. I didnât like the service of the restaurant on the first floor. The food they served was cold, lettuce seemed to be unwashed. Tips were included automatically to the bill which I refused to give taking into consideration the level of their service.
GGuest UserMy wife and I enjoyed a wonderful 2 weeks here for our honeymoon. We stayed in villa 2 , room was big , great super king-size bed. The pool and views of the sea are amazing. Food wasn't great which is why I rated 4 stars. Everything else was amazing, the staff couldn't do enough for you, big mention to Francisco, Noemi, Jorge , and Freddy who catered to our every need, we can't thank them enough for their speedy service and attentiveness. Also a shout out to the entertainment staff Gio and Tati. To all the staff thank you so much for making our honeymoon so special. Love from Ireland to you all.
