I’ve stayed at this hotel many times. This time the front desk service was very good. Jon welcomed me in a warm and friendly manner. He was very professional and the process went smooth and fast. He recognized that I’ve stayed many times and gave me an upgrade which I really appreciate. This hotel really should have more service oriented staff such as him. Overall, great stay and the room was perfect.

Overall, my stay was excellent and exceeded expectations. The only drawback was the initial arrival experience — there was no clear signage for check-in, and staff at the concierge were chatting amongst themselves. We had to approach them before being told check-in was on Level 2. Thankfully, the front desk team more than made up for it. Special thanks to Locke and Skai (hope I got the names right!) — they were warm, professional, and even upgraded us to a suite. I also asked for the Conrad bear (I collect them!) and they kindly sent it to my room, which I truly appreciated. Room service was prompt and efficient. However, the concierge service could be better organized. We only had two parcels and used luggage storage, but the experience felt less polished compared to other Shanghai hotels, which usually impress with their efficiency. Still, I had a great stay and would definitely choose this hotel again when I return to Shanghai.

I had a wonderful stay at Conrad Shanghai, and as a returning guest, I’ve always appreciated the great service, convenient location, and reasonable pricing that keep me coming back. However, this time I was quite disappointed by the service from the bell staff—they didn’t seem interested, didn’t offer help or greetings, and lacked the warm hospitality I’ve come to expect. Thankfully, Rick at the front desk truly stood out and made a big difference. He was professional, welcoming, and attentive from the moment I arrived, offering a smooth check-in experience with a warm smile and even going the extra mile by providing complimentary breakfast. His exceptional service brought back the personalized touch I’ve always loved about this hotel. I highly recommend Conrad Shanghai, and I especially want to thank Rick for his outstanding hospitality.
