If you need to buy public transportation ticket you can buy it from hotel, this is very useful.
Staff are very polite, the rooms are clean and new, with everything you need.
It was a really good hotel for our stay in venice and definitely I will choose this hotel again if I wanted to go there again.

Nice hotel. The hotel breakfast is also good. Overall it is very comfortable. We are traveling by car. It is not bad. There are many parking spaces, but there seems to be nothing to do nearby.

Except location, everything is excellent and I’ll rate 10/10.
The campus is really nice , rooms are excellent , staffs are polite. There is a restaurant, mini market within where you can get almost all basic items . How I can forget about the swimming pool where you can chill in a hot summer day.
I booked the hotel for 3 days but I wish iI could stay there for more days.
The only problem is you need to walk 1.5 km to nearest bus stop from where there is direct bus to main attraction Venice city centre. As I don’t have any problem in walking 1.5 km , it is not a problem for me.

The hotel was in a very good location. Just being about a one minute walk away from the Venezia Mestre station, the hub of transportation in the area, it was very convenient to travel to and from Venice.
The only complaint that I had was that the hotel had very (very) thin walls. Every time my adjacent (and above) rooms turned on the shower, flushed the toilet, and had a conversation, I heard everything. I even heard somebody urinating. Additionally, the room keeper opened and slammed the doors starting at around 7-8AM, causing me to wake up earlier than I wanted to be.
The hotel staff were all great. I might consider staying here again in the future.

I only have positive things to say about Hotel Plaza Venice. From start to finish, my stay exceeded expectations.
Reception & First Impression
The lobby is spacious, luxurious, and impeccably maintained. Everything is spotlessly clean and well-kept, with a touch of elegance that you immediately notice upon entering. The location is perfect, right across from the Venice Mestre train station, making it incredibly convenient for anyone traveling to or from Venice by train.
After a long train journey, stepping out of the station and seeing the beautiful façade of the hotel feels like finding an oasis in the desert. It's easily the best-located hotel in the area, and that first impression is unforgettable.
Check-in Experience
I arrived at 11 PM for check-in, and the front desk staff was quick, efficient, and professional. Despite the late hour, the process was smooth, and I appreciated the courteous service.
Room & Cleanliness
The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable. Everything in the room, including the bathroom, felt new and freshly renovated. The bathroom was spotless, with all the necessary amenities provided. It’s clear that the hotel takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Breakfast Experience
One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. The breakfast room is large, clean, and well-lit, creating a pleasant atmosphere to start the day. The hotel has several staff members serving food and beverages, which ensures everything runs smoothly.
There are plenty of hot food options, and the variety of coffee drinks is impressive — you can order cappuccinos, mochaccinos, and more. Everything is fresh, well-prepared, and delicious. I can confidently say that the breakfast at Hotel Plaza Venice is excellent.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Hotel Plaza Venice offers an outstanding experience. The perfect location, luxurious reception, modern rooms, and exceptional breakfast make this hotel the ideal choice for anyone traveling through Venice. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to others.
Would I stay here again? Absolutely!

Very good value accommodation experience, only one minute walk from the train station, only 10 minutes by train to Venice, there are many trains, very convenient. Although the hotel facilities are a little old, they are well maintained and the stay experience is very good. I highly recommend the family room, which has two large beds and a lot of space.

Leonardo Royal is located just 10 mins walk from the bus and train station making it an easy and convenient place to stay. Rooms are clean and bathroom is spacious. The reception also taught me an easier path to walk behind the hotel parallel to the train tracks for a smooth path to walk with my luggage to the bus station to go to the airport. Breakfast spread was good. it's my 3rd time staying here. Happy to recommend.

Excellent
Oomri shapirathe hotel is in a perfect location right next to san marco sq and the drop off point of many water boats. the room was a “golden leaf superior”, big n beautiful with great shower n toilets. the breakfast (not included) was ok but the terrace on which u ate it, made up for any lack in diversity on the buffet side. the view is spectacular. room was clean, sheets were crisp, staff was nice. the Trip.com rate was what made this affordable, as this room usually goes for much more. still wasn’t cheap but considering the crazy hotel prices in Venice, it was a good deal for a 4 night stay that was packed with activities that made a central location with easy access to everything important.
GGuest UserIt wasn't great visit for us. We just came im to our hotel when we saw water leaking from air conditioner while making loud noise from electrocity. We called the reception, and man came to ”fix” it.
We went touring and still the same day when we came back it happend again. Again someone came to fix it but couldn't do anything about the noise. Also we were told that they can't give us different room because ”they are full” but when they saw our dissatisfaction suddenly the different room was found... 🙃
The area (Mestre) seems dangerous, full of eastern immigrants. Especially in the night you don't feel safe.
GGuest UserWe stayed three nights here. Hotel is conveniently located right next to the ferry station. Breakfast was good and has good variety. Probably the best hotel on the island until we received really bad service which lost all marks on our last morning of stay which I’ll elaborate later.
We had to catch the first flight and needed to have a quick breakfast before departure after our stay. Since we stayed there for three nights, we had breakfast and also dinned in their outlets throughout our stay, we were surprised the staff told us they don’t have our records on the last morning, we are not seated for breakfast and had to wait for them, it would be better if we get seated to allow hotel to sort it out since we have to leave for our flights. Unfortunately the staff also told us “they have hundreds of guest so it’s not possible to recognize us”. “There is no record”, and after waiting for over 10 min they came back and told us again “there is no record”. I asked to sort out the matter with the manager and they just told us we can walk over to the counter while there is a long queue of guests. Without cutting the line I waited at the lobby. After the staff at the counter also did not follow up about the situation after the queue was cleared or apologize for the rude attitude. We left the hotel after they ruined our experience at Venice. The entire good experience was lost due to lack of hospitality service. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here, and it is a disgrace of the Hyatt brand.
AAlexPozClose to Piazzale Roma, you dont need to carry you lagguges so far if you park your car on Municipale Parking or Tronccetto or if you travel by train you dont need cross even this one bridge :) . Hotel is on via Spagna is commercial street so crowded but is close to Ferrovia. Hotel is in old building Pallacco in Venetian Style. Rooms are in Venetian Style also, cossy, but on minimum, in fotos it looks little beter. Aroud you have all you need shops, restaraunts, etc, so no problem, Vapporetto Stop is just right the corner. To Piazzale San Marco is about 40 minutes (via Realto), or 50 minutes (via Academia) by foot, even beter by foot than via Vaporetto, you vist Venezia. Hotel service is very nice and helpful, breakfast is very good and has a lot of meals.
GGuest UserIt was a nice experience overall. There is a €3.60 city tax per person per night that's added on and can only be paid in cash which was inconvenient. There is tea/coffee provided in the room, however, they also charge to refill them if you use any. Breakfast is an extra €5 per person and breakfast lasts less than 3 hours (7am-9:45am) which is a bit inconvenient if you want to sleep in or if you have to get up early. The desk staff is moderately friendly. When we first arrived they weren't too friendly but the evening and check out attendants were nicer. The room is pretty small and really only enough room to eat around the perimeter of the bed. The bathroom is decently sized, however, the shower didn't have a door so water pools out onto the floor unless you huddle close to the shower head and even then... The TV is very small and not easily seen if you are vision impaired. My biggest complaint, however, is how hard the bed was. There's little to no cushion on the mattress. I woke up both mornings I was there and had back and hip pain (I'm 28 yrs old in relatively good physical condition). It is close to sleeping on the floor. There was a closet with a nice amount of space to put our things. There is also am elevator to access the floors which was convenient on days that we walked a ton. The lobby is nice and clean and has some seating areas. We did not explore the bar or breakfast areas. The hotel itself is located near the water bus station for easy access to Venice. It is also on a strip of shops and restaurants. Granted most things on the island of Lido do close early and a lot of them are temporarily closed but still marked as open on Google maps. Plan accordingly and call places ahead of time. I've included pictures of the bathroom which was overall nice, however, I didn't take pictures of the bedroom as it was small and hard to get a good angle.
AAnonymous UserThe are only bed and wifi. No other amenities such as refrigerator or water boiler. It is necessary to climb up stairs to go to reception which is in first floor. The hotel has two buildings. Our room is located in 2nd floor of the other building. The staff helped to bring one suitcase and my son bring another one. The booking confirmation email said that check out time is before 12:00. However, the clean up staff knocked our door twice in 9:00 and 10:00 again even though we have put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door. In around 10:30, the staff phone to room and said the check out time is 10:30. I told him the confirmation email said that the check out time is 12:00. Finally, we can still stay till 12:00. The communication is not clear.
GGuest UserWe arrived at the most expensive hotel (AU$1600 for 3nts, 2 adults) we had ever stayed at, there was no lift to our room on the 1st floor.
I struggled to carry 2 suitcases with no assistance from the gentleman in reception up to the 1st-floor room. This would be very difficult if we were older & unable to carry our cases.
The wi-fi didn't work in the bedrooms only in the public areas - even though we were told it would.
The bedroom had multiple squashed mosquitos on the walls next to the bed.
The lace curtain had a couple of cigarette burns on it.
The bedcover had a cigarette burn on it.
The telephone handset cable was not connected to the .telephone - I tried to fix it but it wouldn't stay in the socket.
The safe was not working.
The instructions to use the safe were so old & worn out you couldn't read them.
The shower wouldn't work properly, so I had to call the person in reception to assist us in getting it working.
You had to get out of the shower cubicle to retrieve shower gel/shampoo/soap. There was nowhere in the shower to put these items. There was no room in the shower at all. I moved the stool in the bathroom to put my shower gel on it & two legs fell off the stool.
The toilet roll holder wouldn't hold the toilet roll and it kept falling off.
The bathroom bin was broken and filthy
The breakfast ran until 10 am, the bread ran out & was not replaced & this was before 9 am.
I am a travel agent & book many guests to stay in cities around the world including Venice
I was upset that this hotel was an extremely poor standard and felt like it ruined the end of my beautiful holiday in Italy.

KKasey JurgensenThe Canal & Walter is extremely old. I understand that…BUT…updates have not been made in YEARS AND YEARS.
The young staff at the front desk are great. The gentleman running breakfast couldn’t be better.
ROOM 102
The bathroom has black mold - there is a window in the shower with a curtain rod BUT NO CURTAIN. So the window is rotting and moldy. The shower head is broken. The bathroom has a floor drain but when new tile was installed MANY YEARS AGO the drain was not raised so it is an extremely bad trip hazard. There are NO towel rods. There are no safety handles in the slick tub/shower. Entering the bathroom there is a 3-4” step - another trip hazard.
The furnishings, from the 1960’s, in this room are totaling worn out. There is only one luggage rack so the only option is to use one of the two chairs or the small desk. This is very inconvenient.
When scanning the room for items we might have missed in packing, we found garbage under the bed.
The breakfast is sufficient.
I would give one star out if 5, at best.
The smell of bug spray was so overwhelming that it seemed toxic. The air conditioning unit did not work so unknowingly we opening the windows for some fresh air only to wake up with dozens or more mosquito bites. We stayed 3 nights. The 2nd night we closed the windows and relied on the air conditioning unit. After a long night of restless hot sleep, we left for the day only to return to find the UNIT WAS TURNED OFF by the staff.
AAnonymous UserVery good experience in this hotel. The very large and clean room. The staff very careful and have gluten-free food. Furthermore, it is very close to the Academia bridge that crosses the great channel. They also have a restaurant in the same hotel. I therefore recommend it 100%.
