This hotel is not exactly smack in the middle of Cha-am nor Hua Hin. However, it is a true retreat by itself. Like an oasis that pops in the middle of the rural landscape just north of Cha-am, the weekend here was a bustle of activities. Very popular with families with kids. There were so many kids here filling up the main and kids’ pool on Saturday. As the weekend ended, on the late afternoon of Sunday and a good half of Monday, the resort turned peaceful. Finally, there was more water then Children. The kiddy pool has a large air-filled dome sprouting water sky high. Both kids and adults were having fun climbing up and sliding down the feature. In the main pool, they have a permanent floating obstacle course called a Wibit. It was enjoyable watching people, including children, crash and fall into the water as they attempted to complete the course. So Sofitel Hua Hin is just filled to the brim with amenities. They have a kids’ club, a mini golf full of mythical figurines and a cycling track. One can ride their complementary bicycle, or have children rent their mini mopeds, scooters and other toy-ish vehicles. They have a games room (but it was hot), a mini tennis court and a bigger one that doubles as a basketball court. 4 pools in total on this land parcel perpendicular to the sea. The one near the beachfront has a jacuzzi, and there is yet another one in front of the gym. A beach restaurant fringes the not so friendly ocean. The sea was rough and murky. The water came up the break wall that prevents the garden from spilling into the sea. There is a mini sand beach with a few deck chairs, but it wasn’t much of a beach. Breakfast and dinner, we had them in their main restaurant called White Oven. It was really an oven, the air-conditioning needs some work. Otherwise it was pleasing to sit outdoors in the light morning breeze. The breakfast was extensive, a good wide mix of local and western dishes. Moo Ping (pork satays morning version) was superbly tasty and tender. The gravy for Kanom Jin (Thai rice noodle) was of a good rich density. There was also ice cream served in the buffet. However, the chicken rice was off, and their Pla Tong Kor (dough fritters) was a failure in texture and in taste. For the two mornings I had them, I do not know if it was just me, they had a strong hint of something medical. The room we had was So Family that has two bunk beds tucked into the side behind the master bed. The room was a whopping 60 square meters and was intensely decorated. If you live in a condominium, you will wish your studio is as trendy as this. The bathroom is massive. I love the floor to ceiling shower best. They have push buttons to turn on the water. There is one that produce moderate rain, another for heavy rain, and I was looking for the third that produce hurricane. It is not available. We had a super decent stay at the hotel. Thought it will be better to have more restaurants and spa facilities, the food quality was second to none. We had breakfast buffet and dinner at the restaurant, the breakfast had so many choices and the quality was great. For the dinner, the Italian dishes were excellent and out of our expectations. Highly recommend to have it a try. I would love and must come again for a longer stay. Their sky beachfront room were too good to be true.

Our stay at Baba Beach Club Hua Hin was a harmonious fusion of modern elegance, gastronomic excellence, and tranquil natural beauty. Set amidst lush greenery, this chic beachside retreat offered luxurious amenities and thoughtful touches that elevated our romantic getaway. The Baba Grand Corner Suite (Suite number 3411 – located on the 11th floor) served as our luxurious haven, featuring an expansive 90 degree balcony with day beds that provided the perfect spot to unwind and admire the stunning sunset views. The suite's contemporary design, complemented by innovative lighting, created a romantic ambiance that resonated throughout our stay. We also noticed that the fittings and furnishings and all the materials used in the room and bathroom were of high quality. The large bathroom with soak-in tub, shower and the separate automatic toilet system were also appreciated. All-in-all the technologies used scream modernity and sophistication.   Each evening, the meticulous turn-down service welcomed us back to a serene atmosphere, setting the stage for relaxation and rejuvenation as we tucked ourselves into a very comfortable medium hard bed with plush linens. The complimentary minibar, stocked with our favorite refreshments including some typical Thai snacks and drinks added an extra layer of comfort and convenience to our experience. Our culinary journey at Soul Food, the resort's main restaurant, was nothing short of exceptional. We savored the Moo Hong (pork) dish and wok-style Phad Sew noodle dish, both masterfully prepared and served in a modern, chic setting that seamlessly blended with the resort's lush surroundings. The breakfast experience was a delightful highlight, offering a diverse array of Asian and Western options to tantalize our taste buds each morning. The banana pancake live station stole the show, serving up fluffy, delicious pancakes that became an instant favorite. This variety ensured that every breakfast was a culinary adventure, setting a positive tone for each day of our stay. Speaking of surroundings, the lush greenery enveloping the resort added a sense of tranquility and connection to nature, enhancing our overall experience. Everywhere we explored, vibrant foliage and carefully landscaped gardens provided a serene backdrop, creating an immersive and rejuvenating environment. We were also lucky to have the chance to try their Spa. The experience was a rejuvenating highlight of our stay, with a 60-minute massage enhanced by a unique scented ”Asian Blend” oil which had a pleasantly unique aroma to say the least. The skilled therapists and tranquil ambiance of the spa created a serene environment, allowing us to unwind and reconnect amidst the soothing aromas and expert touch. A standout aspect of our stay was the highly attentive and service-oriented staff, led by individuals like Khun Fern and Khun Yok. The hotel is beach front and in the good location not far from Bangkok. Easy to travel to the Hua Hin downtown. The restaurant, bar and spa in the hotel are good choices if you don't want to go out. The price is not cheap but with high standard of five star hotel. We could say it' reasonable price, not very pricey. Love this place and absolutely will come back every year.

We were the last guests to leave in April 2020 so we were looking forward to returning to what is our favourite hotel. We only stayed 2w 4d as we were concerned about how much of the village would be open, in fact there were enough restaurants and bars to keep us happy even if we had stayed our normal 4 weeks. The hotel is still offering a reduced service, when we arrived the reception was unmanned and we went to the Regent Hotel for breakfast however by the time we left there was normally someone in reception and a restaurant had started serving breakfast. I expect that the hotel will have returned to normal by the next high season. Our Chalet was immaculate and work was being carried out on some of the others to rectify 3 years of neglect (the work didn't intrude). No big bad issues, just some areas are a bit sad however I have no doubt that it will be back to normal by November which is when we plan to return for a longer stay. Summary - Coming back to life and even in its current state very nice and OK to stay at.

I don't know where to start. This hotel is just beautiful, fabulous views . We stayed in the villa with a partial seaview and the room did not disappoint. Amazing clean pool and grounds. The room itself was spacious and spotless, very comfortable beds excellent bedlinen, every detail was thought of . The staff could not do enough for us , my friend has sight problems and they were so very respectful and helpful towards her, nothing was too much trouble . You were greeted with a smile from everyone. Service and food in the restaurant was fabulous and there was plenty of options in the morning for breakfast. The lady that owns he hotel came and spoke to us on a few occasions and she was a joy to talk to , she cares so much about the hotel and her staff. To say we were sad to leave this place was an understatement, cannot wait to go back.

We are so impressed with the stay at the Palayana HuaHin. Our request for wheelchair for our mum, two rooms near each other, were accommodated. Staff are very friendly and service-minded. Room are spacious, clean, nice sea view. Breakfast are delicious, staff at the venue are also very helpful. We had fruit smoothies at the bar near the beach, yummy , relax, so chilled by the sea. Me and my daughter swam at the pool, good jacuzzi. Overall we really had happy stay and would recommend the place to all.

PROS - friendly staff at check in -well appointed and spacious rooms - great pool overlooking the beach - great Thai food at room service - peaceful - no street noise whatsoever -extremely relaxing -great breakfast CONS -nothing else near by - constant high tide so could not walk along beach - food at Goat (restaurant) was average and overpriced (only option if you don’t have a vehicle, or you don’t want room service all the time) -could not get food or drinks by the pool -no English cable tv channels, however it was a smart tv so Netflix works All in all, we enjoyed our stay and it was extremely relaxing. This place has serious potential to be great. Instead of writing a blog on the hotel I thought it best to highlight the pros and cons, although the restaurant did not appeal to us, I am sure plenty like it. It was just that there Thai options in room service I felt were better

This place fully met my expectations. The staff is helpful and friendly. The place is small and quiet and away from Main Street. Our room is clean and comfortable. The pool is great and relaxing. Breakfast buffet don’t have a thousand choices but that’s completely fine with me. You get almost personalised service at a small resort like this.
