Harlequin Guest House with Parking

We knew this was a budget place so wasn't expecting luxury. It's a bit tired but rooms are clean . Location good as it's quiet and there's on front parking. However, the owner actually has seagulls in the house to feed! The noise of them squawking is bad, from first light. And, we both came home with nits!

Booked this hotel but then needed to cancel. The owner took money off my card and when I confronted him about it he refunded me some but not all my money, even though stated free cancellation. Was rude and obnoxious on the phone,

We booked a very last minute one night stay at the Harlequin Guest House & to be honest I wished we had booked for longer as we couldn’t fault it. Mike the owner was friendly & very knowledgable of the area. He also gave us easy directions to the beach + places of interest & recommended a few good places to eat within walking distance. The Harlequin offers free off road parking which is a bonus, plus some of the surrounding side roads are also free to park without the usual restrictions. Our room was spotless, the bed was enormous & super comfortable. I would definitely recommend the Harlequin & it will certainly be our first choice when we revisit Weymouth in the future.

Great value B&B only a short walk from the beach & attractions of Weymouth. Host was welcoming and helpful and my room was large and really comfortable. Bit of a whistle stop one night stay but, as a fan of this lovely town, I’d definitely consider a longer visit.

Had a couple of nights and have to say it’s good value for money. Mike is a great host, nothing is too much trouble. Had room 6 which has a patio, was lovely to sit out in the sunshine. It was clean, room spacious and the bed was comfy, was a good breakfast, even without the mushrooms 😉.

The saying goes you get what you pay for, well this guest house offers great value for money. After an awful 6 hour plus journey we was grateful to find an off road parking space at the front of the building . The owner was welcoming and check in very informal and easy and some welcome information given on the facilities available and layout of the areas bars and restaurants. The town centre was about. 10 minute walk and the harbour about 15 minutes. The room was clean, spacious and bed comfortable. The tea/ coffee and extras were in plentiful supply and a stock was accessible without having to bother the owner. The bathroom was again clean and practical with both a bath and shower available for use , it was explained to us that the water pressure could have issues at busy times due to work being carried out on the local water mains but we never had any problems with this. If you are looking for an exclusive all singing and dancing hotel don’t book this residence, but if you want a friendly enjoyable totally practical experience I would recommend here. This was our first visit to Weymouth and hopefully we will return in the future and would have no hesitation in returning to the Harlequin guest house

This is a cheap & cheerful guest house. The host was very welcoming & happy to chat & give advice about the area. The room was clean- the bed was comfy- the area was peaceful. There is parking spaces too. What more do you need for an overnight visit?
