This was my second stay at this hotel. If you would like to focus on visiting to panda base, I strongly recommend here. The owner understands English, he always cares guests and arranges everything on time/flexibly upon your request, so I proceeded my plan smoothly without loss of time. You can enjoy variety of delicious Sichuan food at the hotel and they are popular among guests. It's very quiet around, it was wonderful experience for me to stay hearing bird sounds and see fantastic foggy scenery in the morning. I believe you would enjoy atmosphere of Bifengxia!

It's close to the panda base and the food is delicious. The room is clean, but the heating is weak and it's not warm. There was a heater so it was manageable. It's too hot when you sleep with the electric sheets.

Also, the hardness of the bed and pillows here suit me very well, so I can sleep well. The room is spacious and it's very convenient for spreading out my luggage. This inn does not have non-smoking rooms, and the last time I stayed here, the room had a strong cigarette smell that was a bit unpleasant, but this time the room did not smell like cigarettes, which I was happy about. I know a lot of people who want to stay here, but it seems that the lack of non-smoking rooms is a problem. I've heard that many people would like to stay here if there were more non-smoking rooms in the future, so I'd like to let you know. The boiled dumplings for breakfast were very delicious. The fried rice was so filling that I couldn't finish it, so I put half of it in a ziplock bag and enjoyed it as a lunch box for lunch. It was delicious even when it cooled down. However, it was a little sad when the only thing served was white rice dumplings with sweet bean paste like dessert. The taste was good, but I like to eat something salty in the morning, so I would have been happy with 5-6 white rice dumplings with noodles or porridge as the main course. I'm sorry that white rice dumplings look like they would be very time-consuming and difficult to make. I will definitely stay here again next time, so I look forward to it.

The owner is very caring and always takes your requests into consideration. It's located deep in the mountains in Bifengxia Gorge, so it may be cold in winter, but electric blankets and throw blankets are provided for the beds. The air conditioning doesn't work, but the shower has plenty of hot water and was more than enough for me. Breakfast starts at 8:00 and is a huge serving for 15 RMB. There was so much I couldn't finish it, so I took the rest with me as a lunch box to eat at the Giant Panda Research Center Bifengxia Base. It's convenient to bring a ziplock bag. It's about a 3-minute walk to the Bifengxia Base. I think I'll use their services again next time I go to the base.

Winters in Ya'an are cold. The air conditioning in the room didn't work, so we borrowed a heater that someone donated. There is an electric blanket, but it's still cold in winter. We eat on the first floor, but the outside air comes in and you get white breath. Other than that, the owner is kind. It's conveniently close to the base. The food is always delicious. There is now a Japanese menu, which wasn't available last year.

Hot water comes out of the shower and sink when the faucet is turned to the right. The bathroom will be slightly warmer if you press the "warm" switch near the sink.
