I have been to Hongcun twice before, and I still like it very much, especially the inn. This time I chose several inns and finally chose the boss's place. Because I know that the location is very important, it is close to the village entrance and the location is very good. After I came here, the environment and rooms are very good. My stay at the Hongcun Zuoxian Art Hotel was a mix of delight and slight inconvenience. The hotel's interior is beautifully designed, featuring many artistic elements that create a unique and charming atmosphere. However, there were some small design issues that detracted from an otherwise pleasant experience.
One issue was the bed frame, which was positioned in such a way that it was easy to accidentally knock into it. Additionally, the courtyard rooms, while picturesque, were not directly connected to the main building, requiring a short walk, which was less than ideal during rainy weather.
Furthermore, navigating the hotel involved quite a number of steps and uneven surfaces, which could be hazardous if one is not careful. Despite these minor drawbacks, the hotel's overall ambiance and artistic flair made for a memorable stay. With a few adjustments, the Hongcun Zuoxian Art Hotel could truly shine as a top-notch destination.

I really enjoyed my stay in Hongcun - mainly thanks to the homestay's host who was very accomodating and helpful throughout my stay. He and his personnel truly live and breath tourism. They have a great restaurant on the premise and they offer help with anything despite the language barrier. The room I stayed in was beautiful, comfortable and I soon felt like at home. Would stay again! Thank you~

Perfect location, very friendly and helpful staff. The entrance to the hotel is a cute, beautiful courtyard, everything is close by. Communication was easy via WeChat, they came to pick us up and carried out heavy luggage all the way to the parking lot, and helped us do laundry in the hotel. The only comments are that the room got some noise from the street, which was very busy at all times, and it wasn’t very well ventilated. They replaced our towels and toiletries but they didn’t make the bed or clean up the room.
In any case this is a great choice for spending a couple of nights right in the middle of Hongcun!

The location of the hotel is very good, very close to the popular tourist attraction Yuennum. It is very friendly to babies with weak legs on the ”alley” of Nine Roads and Eighteen Turns! The B&B environment is very clean and very worthy of the price! The facilities in the room are very new, including smart toilets, bathtubs, disposable toilet mats and various accessories. Great location and friendly owner. I got this place because of the location & affordable price. This homestay also allowed you to try the traditional custome for free. What's surprise me is the free gift ( one bottle of fresh homemade chrysanthemum) after the check out. Worth the visit and nice ambiance. The design also great.. I called the homestay via trip.com call to inform them before my arrival and they can arrange someone to pick me at the entrance. The owner also can arrange for me on the next day send off to train station. I'm so satisfied with the arrangement and human touch of this homestay.

Environment: It is just outside the west gate of Hongcun, and it is convenient to go anywhere, especially to watch the sunrise in the morning.
Service: The service is especially good. I called the boss in advance to pick us up by electric car at the west gate parking lot. We chose not to include breakfast, but the boss said that we did not include breakfast but would send breakfast. The breakfast sent was of many varieties and tasted good. It was very comfortable to eat breakfast in the riverside restaurant. The boss also helped us upgrade the room type. The accommodation experience is very good, cost-effective, and highly recommended.

AAlaleiaidiqiuThis time, I stayed at Bo Xin Yun She Ming Jing Yuan, which gave me a poetic memory of Huizhou. The location is excellent, just in the first archway, which is very convenient. The night light show is close at hand. The room type is the ”Book” courtyard twin room. When you open the wooden window, you will see the lush courtyard. The 200-year-old plum tree stretches its branches on the eaves. The quaint banquet in the flower hall and the ingenious exhibits in the intangible cultural heritage museum make people feel like they are traveling through time. The girls are very kind, especially the housekeeper Xiao Cui, who provides thoughtful and meticulous service throughout the whole process, from the warm reminder when making an appointment to pick up the station, the explanation of check-in, to the thoughtful afternoon tea arrangement and the gift of homemade fermented bean curd, and even the business car delivery station is personally arranged. The ”Hey Xiao Qiao” smart device in the room makes living more convenient. The dried bamboo shoots wontons for breakfast and the brown sugar rice cakes for afternoon tea are all homely and warm.
The only regret is that the restaurant was a bit struggling due to the full room that night. It took 70 minutes to serve all five dishes. The waiter was very hard-working and sweaty but still smiled and apologized. I can feel the team's dedication, but the staffing really needs to be optimized. When I left the hotel, I looked at the busy figure of Xiao Cui under the lanterns in the courtyard, and suddenly understood what ”the details show the Zen heart of clouds and water”. If Bo Xin Yun She is a three-dimensional ancient book of Xidi, then this stay is a page of quiet time that is gently turned.

GGuest UserHongcun Yushan mountain scenery house is convenienly located near the South Gate of Hongcun Scenic area. We booked courtyard B which is located outside and behind the main hotel complex with breakfast included. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable, and had a small courtyard, but unfortunately no garden chairs or table to sit outside. In hindsight we woud book another room in the main complex next time. It has a lovely open garden and plenty of outdoor seating. I contacted the hotel before our stay and managed by using a voice translator to connect with the staff on Wechat. A friendly staff member met us at the entrance to the scenic area and entry is free of charge when you stay at the hotel. The hotel staff don't speak any English, but they were very helpful and friendly and we got along fine using Wechat and other translators. I won't recommend eating dinner at the hotel as there are many local Chinese restaurants in the ancient village. The hotel offers a coffee shop in the lobby and has a number of options, like Americano, Latte etc. The coffee is very good, but I felt it was a bit pricey for the cup size. The hotel breakfast is Chinese with no Western options, and it is served in unique way in a tray. I enjoyed the breakfast, but my husband would have liked more western options. On our arrival the room was already pre-heated and the beds in the room were comfortable. It was snowing lightly when we arrived and there were umbrellas available in the room. They also provide vanity items. We visited just before the Chinese New Year tourist rush at the beginning of the holiday and this was a very good location and time to visit despite the cold weather. The ancient village was not too crowded and it was nice to walk around in the evenings and daytime with the hotel is situated conveniently right next to the South lake. Drone flying is allowed which can give drone flyers an aerial view of the village. Depending on your iterinary a one night stay is sufficient to visit Hongcun and the nearby Xidi ancient village then move on to another hotel at the foot or top of the mountain or Tunxi village. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel to travelers wanting a good hotel experience in Hongcun.

The whole family is unanimously praised. The small courtyard is also very warm. Close to the west gate, not far from the snack street, not far from the moon marsh painting bridge. The boss is super good, the reply is very fast, and the questions are answered patiently. Free luggage pick-up and drop-off, and helped us find a restaurant during the Spring Festival to set a New Year's Eve dinner. Very satisfied 👍

We chose the Qingyin Caolu B&B, which is located in a quiet area amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. It only takes 2 minutes to walk into the alley from the big tree at the entrance of the village. My kid and I stayed in Yuese Xishi room, which had a big bed and a big window. The weather was fine and the view from the window was stunning.

Hotel manager was very communicative, but you need to have WeChat. They can communicate in English by message with you.
The rooms were stunning, service was excellent and the communal areas were beautiful and comfortable.
Hotel breakfast was freshly made and they were able to accommodate our requests.
Some of the rooms require ascending steep stairs, so if you have accessibility needs it would be best to inform the hotel in advance. Bedrooms are comfortable and cosy. The addition of the tea ceremony area is brilliant. The mattresses and bedding were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean with good pressure hot water.
The hotel also put us in touch with a honest and reliable driver that we used for transfers from the bullet train station as well as a trip to Huang Shan (yellow mountain).

The boss is very considerate and helped arrange carpooling, pick us up at the entrance of the scenic spot, and also provided a tour route. I will stay here again next time I come to play~

SSuThis was a trip that I took my 86 years old mom to travel with me. After a long bullet train ride and shuttle ride, Banyan Tree Huangshan gave us a warm welcome by upgrading our room to a villa. The place is beautifully designed, nested in a valley with traditional Hui style building. Inside the rooms, they have the western style bedroom and bathroom comforts, but the deco is traditional Chinese arts with a modern twist, very elegant, not the tacky hotel chain style but details that fits the surrounding nature beauty. All the rooms and facilities are very clean, and service people are very nice too. We had the front desk clerk Sweet, who updated our stay and a room cleaning lady May Zhang who helped us with our needs. Very thankful to their help!
The outside garden design blends in with the surrounding mountains. They even have a petting zoo for visitors young and old.
We dined in their Chinese restaurant the first night. The foods were good but I won't say exceptional. For two of us, it was way too much in food quantity for one order. We felt bad to waste food this way. Wish they have had smaller choices. But their breakfast is very impressive.
And even though they are very close to Hong Village where the shuttle stops, they did not offer free shuttle which I think they should.
I highly recommend this place and will travel back with my other family members in the future.

我们第一晚在饭店的中餐厅吃的，不错但没有特别让人印象深刻。早餐则不同， 选择非常多且很多精致可口的饭菜。

NNatascha B.Very nice hotel, perfectly located opposite of the Hongcun Scenic area. The staff was very welcoming and set up a Wechat group for infos and questions. Our room was very clean and cosy. The hotel has a free afternoon-tea from 2-5pm and you have to make a reservation in advance because the time seats are limited. It is located in a cost tea house. The tea and snacks served were nice and delicious. The outdoor pool was refreshing and clean, with a nice view. To Hongcun you can just take a 5 minute walk and leave the car at the hotel. There is also a Covid-Testing station directly next to the entrance of the Scenic area. For breakfast they had a big selection of local food, we really liked it. The only negative point we have to say that the tea in the morning tasted not good, they didn’t use filtered water, so it had a moldy old taste. All in all I can really recommend the hotel and would book it again. The location and the staff was really great!
