City Comfort Inn Hotel (Yining Airport Shanghai City) ★★
"We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is excellent—just a short walk from LiuXing Street, supermarkets, restaurants, and various shops. It's also conveniently located near the bus station, making it easy to visit places like Sayram Lake. The hotel kindly arranged a pick-up from the train station upon our arrival, which was very helpful. While there was no drop-off service available for our early departure, we understood that the shuttle service only starts operating from 9:00 a.m. Overall, it's a great place to stay, especially for travelers who value convenience and accessibility. Highly recommended!"
Atour Hotel Yining Shanghai City Jiefang West Road ★★★★
"Clean and comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, 24-hr convenience store nearby and also a few fruit stalls. Walkable to Liuxing street for many dining options. (Lim M K of Singapore)"
Yilan• Central Asia-Europe-Africa Ring Youth Hostel ★★★
"I stumbled upon this hostel by chance, initially drawn in by its ambiance—I loved the flowers and plants, the grape trellis, and the spacious courtyard. The atmosphere in the courtyard was wonderful after I settled in. The owners even organized a road trip for everyone, visiting Nalati and Huanghuang Village. Both owners are excellent cooks; one is from my hometown in Guangdong and even took me to the wholesale market to buy fruit 🍉. A whole bunch of strawberries was only 100 yuan! The mulberries in the courtyard were incredibly sweet; we had more than we could eat every day—white, pink, and black, all so delicious! I also saw apple trees, wild cherry trees, and vegetables growing in the backyard 😁. Both owners were incredibly kind and down-to-earth, almost always ready to help. I even got a free meal! They cleaned the courtyard every day and bought huge watermelons 🍉 for everyone. During Eid al-Adha, they even took us to visit other places…"
Hampton by Hilton Yining ★★★★
"The hotel's location is great, and the facilities are new and well-equipped. The laundry machines are excellent, and the service is good, especially from the front desk staff."
Atour Hotel Yining County Guangrenjun ★★★★
"This Atour hotel lives up to the brand's national standards. The Yili restaurant right outside is absolutely delicious, and having two supermarkets on either side is incredibly convenient. The late-night porridge service is a really thoughtful touch. It's definitely the top choice for traveling with seniors and children. Parking in the back is easy, and there's even a popular cafe not too far from the hotel that's worth checking out."
Kailash Youth Hostel ★★
"It's 2 AM, and I can't sleep after writing this review in the courtyard, so I just got up and sat here. The night in Liuxing Street is so quiet, with only occasional dog barks and distant lights. The moon hangs above the apple tree. I've stayed at this hostel for three days and will be leaving tomorrow. There are some things I want to write down before I forget. First, let's talk about hygiene. I have a peculiar habit: the first thing I do when entering a room is to feel the tabletop and windowsill. And truly, it was spotless. The floor is wood-grain tile, and walking barefoot on it felt perfectly clean. The bedding was freshly changed and smelled warm, like it had been sun-dried. There wasn't a single hair on the public restroom floor, and the trash cans weren't emptied only when overflowing. What touched me most was that the cups in the wash area were placed upside down in a sterilizer cabinet, for guests to use. Yes, a sterilizer cabinet. Location: It's in an alley in Liuxing Street, but very easy to find. Turn right out of the door, and a small alley leads directly to the main street. To the left is an old residential area, perfect for aimless wandering. It's about seven or eight minutes' walk to the Alexander Accordion Museum and also to the famous ice cream shop. If you, like me, enjoy walking and exploring small alleys, this place is a paradise. There are three bus stops nearby, making it convenient to go to Kaxgar and Hanren Street. Service: The front desk staff was a girl with a ponytail, and her voice was soft. It was drizzling when I arrived on the first day, and she handed me a dry towel to wipe my hair. When I came back late at night, I found a message on the small blackboard at the entrance: 'There's yogurt in the fridge, help yourself.' I thought it was for a fee, but when I asked the next day, she smiled and said, 'It's free, we worry you might get overheated in this weather.' When I left, I forgot my power bank, and she chased me down two alleys. Facilities: The beds are incredibly stable; the bunk beds don't wobble. Each bunk has a curtain, a light, two power outlets, and a small shelf, perfect for a phone and glasses. The common area has a water dispenser (with both hot and cold water), a microwave, a refrigerator, and a toaster. There's also a washing machine that can be used by scanning a QR code. The most pleasant surprise was a small bookshelf with not many books, but a few picture books about Ali, which made me want to visit Mount Kailash as I flipped through them. Atmosphere: Unlike some hostels that deliberately force social interaction, the atmosphere here is very natural. In the evening, someone played the Dombra in the courtyard, while others just listened quietly. There was an older gentleman who had just returned from a pilgrimage, his feet still swollen, sitting on the steps drinking sweet tea, and no one disturbed him. Occasionally, people would strike up a conversation, also in soft voices. I'm sitting in the courtyard now, and the evening breeze is a little cool. The moon is bright, and I can see the shadows of the clouds. I'll probably feel a bit reluctant to leave tomorrow. But it's okay; I know I'll be back. The night of Liuxing Street, the dream of Mount Kailash, and the gentleness of this little courtyard all remind me why I'm always on the road."
Vienna Hotel (Yining Kazanqi Branch) ★★★
"This hotel is located in the old town, very close to Kazaqi Folk Culture Tourism Area, within walking distance. It's also convenient and inexpensive to take a taxi to places like Liuxing Street. We arrived in the evening, and the hotel had prepared a welcome fruit platter and yogurt. The room was quite spacious, clean, and tidy, with a plentiful hot water supply. It even had a clothesline, which was very convenient. Special commendation to Xiao Su at the front desk, who was warm and friendly, answering all our questions, and always had a lovely, approachable smile. The hotel breakfast offered a good variety, including milk, soy milk, coffee, and other beverages. Coming at this time of year, the hotel offers excellent value for money."
Yining Kazanjir Ethnic Tourism Area. Hongqi Road. Yadu Hotel ★★★★
"Atour hotels consistently offer great quality. This one is conveniently located near Six Star Street, and parking is easy. The breakfast was excellent, especially the vegetable salad cups – a really nice touch!"
Shijia Business Hotel ★★
"The shower area and toilet weren't separated, so the toilet always got wet after every shower, which was quite inconvenient. The hairdryer was really poor quality. We lost our room key during our three-day stay and had to pay 50 yuan to replace it."

Wenzhou International Hotel
"The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the rooms were clean, tidy, fresh, and cozy."
InterContinental Hotels YINING by IHG
"The room was spacious and bright, and I had a very comfortable stay. The staff always greeted me, and the room key card was beautiful enough to keep as a souvenir. Overall, it was a great experience and a good choice for landing in Yining."
Yili River Hotel
"Nice accommodation, with a garden, a view, and a variety of food options, I like it very much😘 Nice accommodation, with a garden, a view, and a variety of food options, I like it very much😘"
EVEN Hotel YINING by IHG
"I just want to say it doesn't live up to its five-star rating. The hotel is new and connected to the InterContinental, which is nice. The room isn't huge but it's modern enough. However, the service and amenities really don't match up. When I went to the gym to work out, the air conditioning was practically boiling – I called three different people and no one could fix it. Plus, one of the machines was making a strange noise, and even after a technician spent ages trying to fix it, it still wasn't resolved. And about the outdoor sofas outside the gym's glass wall: if that door is open, you really need to keep the area clean. I wanted to sit out there for a bit, but everything was covered in a layer of dust. Overall, for the highest prices in the country, you really need to deliver on that pricing."
A Moment's Illusion of Life
"A very nice guesthouse! The rooms have a charming ethnic style and are very clean. The complimentary fruit, dried fruit, and local pastries provided are also delicious! The courtyard is beautiful and perfect for taking photos! I would definitely recommend this place to my friends next time they visit!"
Zhuyu Anxuan Homestay
"I give 100 likes to this B&B. I originally booked only one night, but I really didn't want to leave such a comfortable room in a hurry, so I extended it for another night. Every receptionist in the B&B was very enthusiastic, the breakfast was also very good, simple and light, and there were two cute dogs. One is called Yasuo and the other is called Nanhe, they are docile and well-behaved. You can watch movies in the back yard at night. Although the front yard is not too big, it is enough for parking. It is also convenient to park on the roadside at the door. It is very sunny during the day. Even if you don't go out and sit in the hotel lobby and daydream, it is also good to watch the two little dogs chasing each other. I really recommend this B&B. Friends who drive by themselves don't have to worry about parking problems!"
Liguangli Homestay (Liuxing Street Scenic Area)
"The hotel was very impressive and unique, with beautiful decor. The butler, Xiao Ma, contacted us in advance to inform us of parking locations and check-in instructions, which was very thoughtful. The hotel is right next to Liuxing Street, perfect for those who love shopping. The hotel's breakfast was also delicious; the scrambled eggs with tomatoes, stir-fried potato slices, and stir-fried cabbage with vinegar were all freshly made – fantastic!"
Kazanqi Bespel B&B
"It felt like this B&B had spent all its money on the decor. When I first checked in, I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere and exotic charm were truly stunning, and the photos were stunning. However, when I returned to my room that night, problems arose. After lying in bed for a while, I could smell a foul odor. The shower drain was reeking. I asked the housekeeper to bring a bag of water to plug it, but it didn't help. The hot water for washing up took ages to get hot. They said the pipe was too long and needed to run longer. I thought, isn't Xinjiang short of water? Is it really okay to waste water like this? It didn't even get hot after five minutes, so I gave up on showering, fearing I'd freeze to death. Then came breakfast. They said they had freshly baked steamed buns and other things. Because they were freshly baked, they only opened at 9:30. I had high hopes for it, thinking it would be delicious, but by 9:30, nothing was available. It wasn't ready until 10:20. Each person got a steamed bun, a thin-skin bun, two pieces of corn, an egg, and either milk tea or porridge. We ordered porridge, which tasted pretty average, and the milk tea was just so-so. I saw the milk tea at the next table was barely touched. Anyway, this place is really good for taking photos, but if the infrastructure isn't improved, I really don't recommend staying here."
Hanting Hotel (Yining Wanrong Square)
"It's very nice and good."
JI Hotel (Yining Fuzhou Road Lin Zexu Memorial Hall)
"Overall good. I have collected it and will stay here again if I have the chance. It's a new hotel and the overall situation is quite clean. The room is equipped with a refrigerator (which is really good. I bought a lot of Yili yogurt and drank two cups every day). There was a slight smell of decoration when I first moved in, but it didn't have much impact. Stayed three nights. When I checked in on the first night of February 24, a few drunk people came to the next door at 3 a.m. It was a big noise. I am especially grateful to the service staff (a girl) on duty at midnight who found another room for me on the same floor. I slept in the other room for a few hours. I slept soundly for the next two days. The hotel is located in a development zone, and the environment and road settings are great. I went there for breakfast, it was a bit simple but definitely filling."
Lanting Title B&B
"The B&B is decorated in a very stylish way. The lady also upgraded the room to a double bed for free. It is clean and tidy, and the bedding is comfortable. It is very suitable for resting after a long journey. There is also a cute little cat, which is very dear to you."
Urba Hotel (Ili River Scenic Area Yining Museum Branch)
"I've stayed at this hotel twice now. What I really liked was its high floor and floor-to-ceiling window! The view was stunning! Just like in Beijing, Shanghai, or Guangzhou, it's perfect for taking photos. It's also very quiet; my friends and I came here to take pictures! I feel like you can't find another hotel like this in Yining. This stay was a great experience, and the front desk service was excellent! The receptionist was beautiful and spoke with poise, elegance, and gentleness, and the male receptionist was also handsome and upright. He even helped me with my luggage. I loved it!"
Home Inn Neo Yining Liuxing Street Scenic Area
"The room was very clean and tidy. The front desk service was excellent. The nearby attractions were beautiful, especially Liu Xing Jie (Six Star Street), which was a lot of fun. Highly recommended."
Check in at Pai Hotel (Yining Kazanqi Happy Carnival Smart Cultural Tourism Branch)
"While the hotel's exterior surroundings are quite ordinary, the interior decoration is very exquisite. The room is bright, spacious, clean, and tidy, and the water pressure from the faucet is exceptionally strong, making for a very comfortable shower. There are also washing machines and dryers on the third floor, which is very convenient for us road-trippers. Just be careful not to park under the utility poles; we woke up to a car full of bird droppings! 😂😂😂"
Yili Hotel
"The hotel environment is lovely, with plenty of greenery, making it a very pleasant place to stroll around. There's even a popular ice cream shop right inside the hotel that's absolutely delicious. The hotel breakfast is quite extensive, and the service standards, as expected from a long-standing hotel, are excellent!"
Home Inn • neo (Yining Baihua International Branch)
"The front desk staff was warm and attentive, and check-in was quick and efficient. They offered me a complimentary glass of local apricot peel tea and thoughtfully explained the hotel's amenities and services, which warmed my heart even as a newcomer. The room was impeccable! Spacious and bright, with excellent soundproofing, no need to worry about outside interference. The bathroom was spotless, and every detail was meticulously thought out. This hotel surpasses all-seasons hotels in both amenities and service, exceeding even my expectations. Highly recommended."
