Wonderful homestay in an excellent location. Food is fantastic (they have real coffee too!), the family who runs the place very nice. The location is at the end of the town overlooking some of the terraces. We had the room with the view over the terraces, which was great with the big window. Only drawback was that the sun hits really hard in the morning through the glass, so better to be up early before the sun comes up over the hills. Attached photos are taken a few steps from the homestay.

If you are looking for an unique stay and experience "Hani" culture, I would highly recommend staying with the family. When I arrived, the host invited me for a hike through the ricefields to see the sunset, and afterwards I joined the family for a traditional dinner with local dishes, straight from their own garden. Especially as a solo traveller, I felt at home instantly and they will do everything to make your stay comfortable. The food is delicious, the room was spotless, and the host can recommend great places for hiking. Don't forget their delicious coffee and tea! One minor thing, when you go back to Kunming by bus, just make sure that the host reserves the bus ticket. I unexpectely had to change buses in Yuangyang because it was full. I would definitely come back, and their homestay is one of my highlights in China. Thank you again for the memorable stay and for welcoming me with open arms. See you next time!

We loved our stay, very cozy. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. He suggested us a lot of tracking trails and helped us to find a taxi for our back home. We enjoyed the view of the rice terrace a few steps outside. We recommend it.

We had such a wonderful stay in this guesthouse! The rooms are big, clean and with a big bathroom with hot water. The location is wonderful, all the ancient tree rooms having a nive view over the rice fields. The place is very quiet and peaceful at night, and very close to a nice spot that the owner will show you to see the sunset. You have a few options around to eat at any time of the day. The family who runs the place is very nice and helpful to organise your days in the area or the next step of your journey in China. This place is definitely worth a stop and will add something more to your stay in this wonderful area.

Incredibly kind and friendly hosts. The room was extremely clean and had everything you need. The hosts were so helpful in recommending hikes and places to go. One of the hosts speaks English and was super helpful for me as a foreign traveller. The hotel is in the perfect location for seeing everything in the area.

Very clean room, conveniently located right in front of the terrace. Great photos. For foreign guests looking for coffee and the usual morning fare, there is a coffee shop within 4 minutes of walking. This was a very nice place to retreat to for a few days of crisp, mountain air, solitude and great hiking.....and beautiful photography, especially if you have a drone

Super clean and spacious room. Owner is very helpful to explain the main attractions nearby. You can also order home cooked food here. His wife’s cooking is delicious and authentic. So just relax and enjoy the beautiful view.

Owned by a young couple and the family. The owner is kind and very helpful. He showed us the best walk we could have to see the rice terraces properly and he helped us to book our bus back to Yuxi. Without him it would have been a lot more complicated. Thanks :) Definitely recommended

The boss is a very nice person, and the boss's wife cooks delicious food. She helps with the luggage in the village. The room was clean and they took the initiative to upgrade the room. According to the weather conditions, it is recommended to see the location of the terraced fields. The folk customs are simple and honest. The people on the clouds are indeed in the clouds. It is very beautiful.

An unforgettable stay with a wonderful family We spent our stay at this hotel as a couple and were absolutely thrilled! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the hosts, which immediately created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. What was particularly great was that our host, despite our lack of Chinese, was very keen to explain a lot about the area and give us valuable tips. Thanks to the translator app, this worked really well. He and his wife are incredibly kind and make every effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible without making us feel cramped. A real highlight was our room. The view of the surrounding rice terraces was breathtaking! On a clear morning, you can witness a true natural spectacle. The glass front of the room offers a fantastic view. If you want a little more privacy, you can simply draw the curtains. This honestay is the perfect place to experience traditional Hani life and, in the truest sense of the word, slow down. Our hosts took us to the market in the neighboring town and explained the local specialties to us – it was a wonderful experience. The room itself was particularly comfortable: A heated mattress that could be individually adjusted ensured cozy evenings in bed while also allowing fresh air into the room. The stay was so pleasant that we spontaneously decided to extend our stay by a day – and that was absolutely the right decision! We are very happy to have chosen this accommodation. The room is clean, tidy and warm. The boss is warm and thoughtful. He planned the tour route and took us to the village to watch the sunrise in the morning. It was very considerate. Recommended Recommended Recommended

A 2-minute walk from the rice fields, this is a homestay. The hosts are very friendly and offer helpful advice. The room was clean, quiet, and had a blackout curtain. The dinner was really good. A pleasant, relaxing stay.
