I suppose it depends what standard you are comparing this with but we judged it on other greek 4 and 5 stars. The good On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and a drink then taken to our room a Sapphire Seaview. Lots of nice toiletries , a Nespresso machine, fridge with water, free safe, clothes steamer , a bottle of red wine & almonds. Lovely location on the beach half an hour to Laganas ***** one way slightly longer to Kalamaki the other. Lots of fresh beach towels available without deposit around the pool. The majority of staff were very pleasant even though they were understaffed. Enjoyed the food in the alacarte restaurants especially the Grille. The not so good Our balcony was right above the air conditioning unit from the bar so far too noisy to enjoy the view or open the door. Our shower had no water pressure mold right around the shower tray. When I pulled out the sofa to plug in my hairdryer the last guests dirty socks were still there (see photo) Now I understand things happen but how they are dealt with makes all the difference so when I highlighted it to reception the lady seemed unsurprised a bit irritated with me I was quite shocked. Then after 3 days of me finding them I ended up having to bin them myself.It did make you wonder how thorough the room changeover clean was ? The buffet virtually turned me vegetarian because the meat was overcooked and cold ,no show cooking or even a fresh omelette in the morning.If you asked for wine you were poured a glass usually Luke warm. The wait for coffee of a morning was ridiculous. Lack of staff again. The bar always had a long queue which did become tedious. The cocktails although freshly prepared varied in taste depending on the server often not tasting anything like it should. The entertainment was non existent Greek dancers one night . I really don't go on holiday to watch TV in the room. The pool area wanted a good clean drinking a cocktail from a paper coffee cup really isn't good. The snacks were baguettes, salad, fruit all pre prepared & not good especially for the kids. I haved stayed lots of hotels where you have to pre book restaurants but this one was exceptionally difficult the gyros one hadn't even opened.( Although to be fair it looks more like a burger van) but the fact you had to book the wine tasting or cocktail making, Yoga ,kids club etc takes the spontaneity out of your holiday not very relaxing at all. It's a real shame as I think this hotel could be a lot better it has all the ingredients but needs someone to set and keep the standards high. P.S if you do go give the little stray! cat a treat

What an amazing hotel in stunning scenery. Staff are so friendly and helpful. If you manage to book into the 3 onsite restaurants you will not be disappointed. The restaurants do get booked up quickly but in 9 days managed to get in all 3. Stunning food. Leni at reception what a lovely guy. Never a fight for a sunbed at any time of the day. Not a lot of entertainment at night but it is still early in the season. Got to be an expert at Uno. We will no doubt be visiting again.

Just returned after a lovely week staying at this resort. We stayed In the tropical serenity which was lovely and clean. Sofa bed made for daughter which she said was comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities and fridge filled with water and refilled through out stay. Bathroom had shower gel, hair shampoo and conditioner, toothbrushes and shower cap. 2 robes to use which were great after getting out of shower. Was able to connect iPad to tv to stream from Netflix and Amazon which was great as watched a film most evenings. We had a table and chairs outside and 2 sunbeds which was great if we wanted to come back to apartment in the afternoon and sunbathe in peaceful surroundings. Food was good - don’t see why people are complaining about this. I’m vegetarian and I ate plenty. Yes it’s repetitive but this is always the case at all inclusive. Bar- had great drinks and cocktails on offer and I liked the outdoor seating area although it got busy on an evening. Pool bar ladies Spiridula (sorry if I misspelt) and Efi lovely ladies they worked constantly as was always busy and were always polite and friendly. Never saw them without a smile absolute credit to the hotel. Reception staff were always friendly - Nina helped us to book onto the horse riding outside the hotel and was really helpful by telling the event that we had no experience of horses. Loved the resident peacock that roamed the grounds only saw him twice but he was beautiful. Location of hotel was great we was right on the beach and able to hire a boat to go around the island and see the blue caves. Pool towels were plentiful so always able to get a clean dry pool towel through out the day. All in all hotel was really clean, with a relaxed spa like atmosphere. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the sunbeds around the pool a few are broken so you are unable to adjust the position. Also a lot of the beds came as double which is great if family of 4/6 but as a family of 3 we always felt we were taking up an extra bed due to fact beds couldn’t be split. The kids club was good, 11 year old daughter enjoyed the tie dye session but was a pain to book in advance the app showed no availability for the last 3 days of our stay. The gym was good for a hotel - not the biggest but was enough equipment in there to do a basic workout. Would have loved to have done the yoga sessions but didn’t bring yoga kit.

Our first stay here for my 50th Birthday celebration. Hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they couldn’t do enough for you. Leni Groom took our bags and arranged out check in on arrival. All inclusive was all branded spirits, served till 12. Food was great and plenty of choice. Rooms were well sized and very clean. Plenty of beds and no carry on with towel cards you just took as many towels as you liked. Great location on the beach. Even managed to swim with a few turtles!! A nice relaxing place to stay, just wish we stopped longer!!

Everything was perfect for us on this holiday !!! The food was lovely, the drink was excellent !! The rooms were alway clean !! All the staff was amazing, one of the staff Leni always made us smile so kind caring and helpful nothing was ever too much hassle for him !! Our youngest child also named Lenny also just loved him. The hotel is in a perfect location!! We would 100% come back.

It’s ok? Not a quality resort though. Having stayed last year at Domes of Elounda in Crete we looked forward to a different resort of equal calibre. How wrong could we have been. It turns out that you can call 2 things the same and they can be so far from on par with each other the only thing they have in common is the name. From well kept to unkept. From immaculate presentation to untouched for years. From lush green grass to weeds and dirt. On arrival all seems fine and a pleasant greeting awaits. Our interconnecting rooms we had were spacious and excellently presented. After that, the **** lined crazy paving takes you on a historical tour of the lighting points on your way to bog standard pool with regular mediocre sun-beds and only a handful with cushions. No one tidies the pool area so rubbish soon accumulates including the paper cups from the pool bar and a covering of sand from the beach. No poolside service. The locks on the toilets don’t work. The picket fenced private beach is full of grass, weeds and debris. The fence itself is broken. As you’d expect you do get unlimited towels at the pool and beach. There are bins for these when you’ve finished with them that only get emptied at the end of the day. The buffet restaurant is OK at best. Not extensive and no one showing you to a table and settling you in for a pleasant evening. The Greek beachside restaurant that’s open for lunch has a 3 day wait to book. The 8 names on the list today filled it up apparently. If you’re you’re looking for a Eurocamp feel but with nice rooms this is for you. If like us you’re paying for a 5star luxury resort you’re looking in the wrong place, head to Crete and Domes of Elounda.

The room was lovely with a great sea view. Lovely clean pool area with bar and plenty of sun loungers. All of the staff here are amazing. So friendly and attention to detail is clearly very important. The food choices were fantastic and a wonderful variety of tasty food salads and desserts. We wanted a relaxing week and it has certainly been that.
