"Towards the end of the summer vacation, we visited Huangguoshu Waterfall and booked two rooms. Our stay at Kaiyuan Manju was excellent. We had requested rooms away from the elevators in advance, and Sharon from the hotel thoughtfully accommodated this. The rooms we were assigned were incredibly quiet, free from any disturbance from passing noise. Facing the lawn, the rooms offered an expansive view of lush greenery, making for a very pleasant overall living experience. The room's amenities were well-maintained, contributing to a high level of comfort. The staff provided meticulous and attentive service, noticing guests' special requests and handling the details perfectly. After a tiring day of sightseeing, returning to such a quiet room with a great view to relax was very satisfying. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Huangguoshu."

Huangguoshu Heyuan Hotel ★★★

"We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We chose the hotel based on good reviews from past guests and its proximity to the minibus station from Anshun and the shuttle bus to the waterfall park. However, we were surprised that hot water is only available from 1930 - 2230! And even when conforming to their time frame, we had to call each time to inform them that no hot water was coming. A staff member would then show up on our floor to turn on the hot water. Secondly, our room was downgraded from top floor to the lowest floor, and the reason being it was low season and they only have that one floor in operation. Last but not least, no housekeeping was performed during our 3 day stay - trash was not cleared, toilet paper and water were not replenished until we called and requested it. The hotel seemed to be functioning with very minimum staff in attendance. The front desk lady who checked us in was very efficient in replying to our numerous messages and sorting out the problem. One positive comment: basic breakfast offered was good. The soup noodle was tasty."

"They provided two complimentary tickets for the Guizhou Jiuxian Scenic Area cave tour. This place is definitely more suitable for self-driving as taxis won't go there because drivers know they'll have to return empty. Unless you're willing to pay nearly 300 RMB for a chartered car, you'll be stuck. The hygiene is good, and the surroundings are beautiful. The only downside is that restaurants and convenience stores are about a kilometer away, almost reaching the Huangguoshu Scenic Area. The shuttle bus only starts at 11 AM, apparently due to morning traffic control, which begins at 9 AM. If you want to get to the scenic area earlier, you'll need to take a taxi. The breakfast selection is quite rich, the laundry room is convenient, and the staff are very friendly."

"This hotel comes highly recommended! They have a ball pit, a choice of four different pillows, a balcony living room, and even a shuttle service to the scenic spots. The service all around is excellent! Anshun is a city you could definitely stay in for a while!"

"How I wish there were more than five stars to give this hotel. The room was spacious, spotless, and offered a beautiful mountain views; but what truly stole our hearts were the people. The staff weren't just friendly; they were genuinely kind and warm-hearted. They helped us buy bus tickets for our next stop, not once, but twice drove us to the station, first to purchase the tickets, then again to catch the bus. And just because they cared, they even took us to a scenic area nearby. No request felt too small, no gesture too big. This place isn't just a stay; it's a memory of human kindness. I can't recommend it enough."

"The hotel was very clean, and the mattress was comfortable. They provided disposable bath towels, a smart toilet, and smart curtains. Plus, there's a Haier washing machine and a large TV with a comfy sofa chair. The service was excellent. Being able to go straight back to the room after dinner at the hotel restaurant was a huge convenience. This is by far the most satisfying hotel choice."

"We booked a room with a waterfall view, and to our surprise, the hotel's own waterfall viewing platform was right next to it. After spending the afternoon at Tianxing Bridge, we had dinner right there on the hotel's platform. The view was absolutely priceless; what we ate hardly mattered. We chose this hotel based on many guest reviews, knowing its advantages, but experiencing it firsthand truly saved us from unnecessary detours. The 'God's eye view' of the great waterfall is right outside the hotel's main entrance, to the right. It's less than a kilometer's walk, so there's no need to follow online guides suggesting you walk from Doupotang. If you have a reservation for Water Curtain Cave, head towards the great waterfall from the hotel's VIP通道 (VIP access). Don't buy the downhill elevator ticket, as this entire path is downhill and offers views you'd miss from the elevator. When you see the Water Curtain Cave sign halfway down the mountain, go there first. The exit of Water Curtain Cave leads you across a suspension bridge. If you're early enough and the staff haven't started their shift, you can cross the bridge directly to the bottom of the great waterfall for a front-on view. Once staff are on duty, reverse walking on the bridge is prohibited, so head towards the elevator. This path is flat. Walk to the elevator exit and then go down to the great waterfall. After enjoying the great waterfall, cross the suspension bridge towards the elevator and buy an uphill elevator ticket. If you want to return to the hotel, absolutely do not follow the park signs for the exit; that's the great waterfall visitor center, where you'd catch a bus to other scenic spots."
