Check in was easy even though last minute booking. Staff were friendly. Room was good with all the amenities. Location was strategic, near to lot of restaurants.
The facilities are quite basic, and check-in isn't until after 3 PM. Cleanliness was also an issue, with hair found on the bed and the pillowcases yellowed and stained.
However, if you can overlook these drawbacks, it serves as a decent option for a short layover. It's right by the airport, only a 2-minute drive away, and offers a free airport drop-off service. You could even walk there with your luggage in about 5 minutes.
The service was great. The hotel WhatsApp in advance asking what time I wanted to check in. The location was above Tanjung Jara’s area. It was quite serene & peaceful. It’s a 15 mins drive to the Dungun town. The hotel is quite new hence it was very clean. I enjoyed my stay. Thank you.
spacious chalet style room but the parking a little bit muddy..maybe because of the rain season..the aircond was controlled to function on/off on its own ..making the room felt hotter..
The hotel environment is quite good, only the problem of electrical wiring in the hotel needs to be improved because it will give comfort to the customers. The hotel is quite small but reasonable with the price offered. I hope that the management can deal with the main problem, which is the black out of the air cornd, which is dealt with immediately so that The incident that happened to my family will not happen again, thank you
This resort is the best resort i ve stayed so far! From the staff that are well-trained and super attentive to the uniqueness of the building itself. All are just amazing. Breakfast was super delicious that every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. Highly recommended this resort for all of you.
A clean, comfortable, and well-kept homestay. The host was friendly and very responsive, making the check-in process smooth. The place felt cozy, fully equipped, and conveniently located near shops and eateries. A great stay overall — highly recommended!
The room was very clean and the service was very friendly. The most impressive thing was that the waiter asked me for a tip, but the language communication was not smooth. It was the first time he was called a ”foreigner”

Amazing
AAnonymous UserI was furious when checking out. I had accidentally injured my leg with two small cuts while out at sea with friends, so I returned to the hotel clinic for treatment. They assured me the cuts were superficial and nothing to worry about, and the on-site service was very pleasant.
We asked the medic about the price and confirmed it multiple times. They reassured us the treatment fee would be less than 20 RM, putting our minds at ease. So, we proceeded with the treatment right away: iodine cleaning, sterile dressing, and antiseptic ointment. After the cleaning, they also gave us two strips of medication (which we assumed were included in the 20 RM) for promoting blood circulation and reducing swelling.
However, when we checked out, the bill came to 181 RM!!! The medic then appeared in the lobby with a printed form, completely reneging on their previous quote. The new breakdown was 100 RM for wound care (iodine, bandage, labor) and 80 RM for medication!!! This amounted to approximately 300 RMB!!!
Unfortunately, as two young women in a foreign country with no audio evidence, we didn't feel comfortable arguing further. So, we reluctantly paid 180 RM in cash (we were rushing to catch our flight home and didn't get a chance to photograph the receipt), as we didn't want to jeopardize our departure plans for that day.
Our entire trip to Perhentian Islands and the hotel service had been wonderful, which made this incident at the very last minute even more frustrating. We felt completely ripped off, and it instantly spoiled our mood 💢. Had they told me the wound care would cost 100 RM upfront, I would have accepted it. However, the vast difference between the initial quote and the final bill left us utterly speechless.
This is a heads-up for everyone: always keep evidence of any incurred costs to avoid getting scammed.
AAnonymous UserIt's normal but it's ok to have a place to sleep and rest for a while. But don't expect anything fancy. The budget hotel is really old-fashioned but it's good to have a coway. The bed is not hard, the shower tap water is fast.
Sshu2583Excellent CX with RAIA, the hotel service team which is reception, the security all is so friendly and helpfull. The hotel ambience is excellent and their hotel smells is so nice. And a plus for ambulation pipe in the toilet.
NNurulfahAlthough it's an older hotel, the room was incredibly spacious. The food was also pretty good, in fact, quite delicious. It's excellent value for money, and I'm very satisfied.
GGuest UserThe Peridot is a beautiful resort but is undergoing renovations so they don't offer any services at the moment. The pool is full of dirty water, the reception bathrooms are still full of lime and insects, there are workers (rightly) wandering around the entire resort and the breakfast is really poor: they offer toast with butter and jam and something savory. The rooms, on the other hand, are fabulous, spacious and state-of-the-art... ours was directly on the sea and offers L'Occitane products which in our opinion are excellent. The price for the current conditions is decidedly high.
GGuest UserFront desk reception is very polite and helpful. Strategic location for business and shopping. Room clean and complete with amenities. Convenient with nearby bus terminal.
NN_HI recently stayed at Hotel Tanjong Vista in Kuala Terengganu and had a mixed experience. While the location was excellent—close to eateries, laundry services, seaview room and KTCC Mall—the overall stay left much to be desired.
Unfortunately, the room had a strong smell of cigar smoke, which was quite unpleasant. The cleanliness of the room also needs improvement, as it didn’t meet the standards I expected.
As for the breakfast, it was very basic and not up to standard. There was limited variety and the quality could definitely be improved.
That said, the hotel’s strategic location is a major plus, especially for those looking to explore the city or run errands nearby.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is excellent. It offers great value for money and has direct beach access. While the room itself was a bit dated, having the beach right there made me totally overlook it! 😂 The pool was clean, and breakfast was just okay. It's truly perfect for a relaxing escape to clear your mind. 👍👍 Overall, I highly recommend it.
MMaiyoI had a pleasant stay at Hotel Grand Continental Kuala Terengganu. The cleanliness was good and the rooms were comfortable. The location is excellent, very convenient and close to many attractions. The service was generally good, though there is still some room for improvement. The amenities provided were also good and sufficient for a comfortable stay. Overall, it is a nice hotel for business travellers with a great location and reliable facilities.
GGuest UserWe stayed in a chalet. The chalet was very basic, without a cupboard, a shelf... but really spacious. The bathroom was also large, the shower jet was very weak. The artificial grass in front of the door was inconvenient, just wooden planks would have been much more practical. All in all we were quite satisfied with the location and the spacious room. We thought the price was way too high for what we got, and the staff hardly seemed to know anything. One young man was very friendly but quite helpless, the others were not friendly. One man even looked at you disapprovingly when you brought something to the fridge, because he thought it was unthinkable that a can of beer would be put in his fridge.
