Exhaustively compiled: A big inventory of free parks in Haidian suitable for strolling with kids

Since the beginning of the pandemic, I've been thinking about taking the kids outdoors every weekend, and I've almost visited all the nearby parks. Here's a list of what I think are the most suitable parks for Haidian parents to stroll with their children, sharing with s~ ✅ Haidian Park Right next to the Wanquan River Bridge, the park is well-located and large. Just a few steps inside the gate, there's a huge lawn where many people fly kites and play soccer, and there's also a place to pitch tents and stay all day. Little ones can go to the children's playground inside (only 10 yuan) and play for half a day. The park also has a water system with ducks and fish, really the kind that you can stroll around every month. ✅ Beiwu Park A city park where you can take your kids to see rice fields and rapeseed flowers. Beiwu Park itself is very beautiful, with green trees, pagodas, and lake light reflecting off each other, creating a refreshing scene without leaving the city. Several rice fields are planted in the park, and it's meaningful to take children to see the changes of rice throughout the seasons. ✅ Qi Wu Tan A hidden gem in the northern part of Haidian, the entrance is very inconspicuous. Once inside, it's a different world, even with a taste of Jiangnan gardens. Although there are no amusement facilities for children, it's very comfortable to walk around with them. ✅ Xixiaokou Park Located in the Dongsheng area, it has been renovated in the past two years and has changed. The environment and plants are well maintained, and many people come to pitch tents. There's also a free children's playground inside, with slides, sandpits, and many other facilities that kids love to play with. Children nearby especially like to come here. If you live far away, there's no need to make a special trip, but if you're nearby, you can come every day. Also, parking is really not easy. ✅ Shucun Country Park This one is on Nongda South Road, and overall it feels similar to Xixiaokou Park, with a large area for children to play, but here you can play in the water in the summer, and that alone is enough to attract children. ✅ Baiwangshan Forest Park The first choice for parent-child mountain climbing is Baiwangshan, which is close by on the west side of Haidian. The difficulty of climbing is moderate, and a 3-year-old child can climb up on their own without a problem. It's not easy for most children, but it's doable. You can choose different routes for going up and down the mountain, and the scenery is different along the way. We go there at least once a year. ✅ National Botanical Garden Although it's in Haidian, the botanical garden is a park for all Beijingers, so it's often crowded. The cherry valley in the north garden is especially suitable for strolling with kids. The tall and dense trees block out the sunlight, and the boardwalk below is very friendly to walk on. There's a stream next to it (now they're strict, and you're not allowed to cross over to play in the water). ✅ Zizhuyuan Park Haidian residents living near Huangzhuang and Weigongcun probably all go to this park. It's a 4A park, and it's great for enjoying flowers in spring and boating in autumn, and it's also less crowded than Yuyuantan. I put it at the end because, apart from winter ice and snow activities, it's not very attractive to children. Also, you can follow the official account for occasional park activities. (Baiwangshan and the Botanical Garden charge a fee, but the tickets are very cheap!) Compared to extracurricular classes and various toys, kids need more natural experiences🌿 and outdoor time🤸‍♀️.
