Shirogane Blue Pond 🩵 Shirahige Waterfall

Summer in Hokkaido (July 2025) Did you know that if you want to visit Shirogane Blue Pond and Shirahige Waterfall without encountering too many people, there's a trick to it? The answer is... go close to closing time! 😂 (Actually, we didn’t plan to go at closing time, but we had to adjust our schedule for the next day due to the weather forecast predicting rain. 😂) But guess what? There were very few people! We arrived at around 6 PM (sunset was at approximately 7 PM), and the sunlight was still perfect for taking beautiful photos. The sky was clear, and the water was stunningly blue and transparent. (Unfortunately, the ice cream shop was already closed 🥲). Parking was super easy—no need to queue for a spot in the parking lot. Shirogane Blue Pond 🕰️ Opening hours: 07:00–19:00 🚗 Parking: Aoiike Parking, 500¥ per visit (Alternatively, if you drive about 600 meters further, there’s free roadside parking.
