The Three Gorges Cultural Relics Science and Technology Conservation Base is located at Danlong Road, Nanping, Nanan District, Chongqing. With a total investment of about 161 million yuan, it covers an area of 8,400 square meters and has a construction area of about 18,000 square meters. As a part of the Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum, the base mainly engages in scientific research, cultural relics storage, protection and restoration, analysis and identification, education and training, exhibition, and the R&D of cultural relics conservation equipment. This venue is also a branch of the Three Gorges Museum and a cultural relics conservation center. It is usually not crowded, and there are not many exhibits inside, some of which should be in the main museum. There are two floors; the first floor has some pictures and exhibits, as well as many technological parts, suitable for everyone to experience and learn. It's also fun for children and educational. The second floor is basically a workspace where you can directly observe the staff restoring cultural relics, which is very real, as it is their actual working scene. The design of the entire base is based on the concept of 'the confluence of two rivers, the epic of the gorges,' arranging the architectural flow lines to create the momentum of a canyon, with the interior crisscrossing and the space rich and varied. The main entrance for visitors to the Three Gorges Cultural Relics Science and Technology Conservation Base is located in the middle of the west side of the site, the main office entrance is arranged on Danlong Road to the north, and the vehicle entrance is located at the lowest point of Danhui Road. As a landmark building of the area, it not only takes into account the design of the local block but also integrates the western park green space and the large park green space on the southeast side into the overall planning, unifying the square, building, and park in one design, forming a complete urban cultural area. Since the museum is relatively niche and the key cultural relics are in the main museum, it is not recommended to come here alone. This place is suitable for bringing children to experience the process of cultural relics conservation and production. Nearby, there is a Dumbbell Cave Park and Big Fish Begonia, where you can stroll by the river. You can drive there. Transportation: Get off at Lanhu Station on the subway, or at Junyi Tianxia Station on the bus. Both require an additional 10-minute walk.
