Gourmet tour in Hiroshima
Most people go to Hiroshima memorial park to see the history of the Second World War and how Japan was affected at that time. Of course that’s an important place to visit.
What’s surprising is, right next to the memorial park there is a touristy centre with lots of local delicacies (both in restaurants and souvenir shops) - its famous oysters are really no disappointment- I had the best cooked oyster ever ! Its raw oysters were also good, but I just never had such fat and juicy well-cooked oysters before! The size didn’t shrink after they were cooked, and the little salty taste of the sea water was still there.
It is also famous for its charcoal grilles leeks and lemons - so don’t leave without trying a leek dish and a fresh lemonade! 🍋

Fukuyama Castle Museum Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
“ A 400 years ceremony of Fukuyama Castle
It is a modern castle built by Katsunari Mizuno, who transferred from Yamatokoriyama as a lord of 100,000 koku of Bingo due to the deprivation of Masanori Fukushima, the lord of Aki and Bingo in 1619.
At first, Katsunari was in Kannabe Castle, but he inspected the territory, selected Jokojiyama in Nogami Village as the castle site, and started construction of the castle. It was completed in August 1622, and Katsunari entered the castle on the 15th. tell them you did.
The castle is a flat mountain castle, with double moats in the east, south and west, the Yoshizu River in the north, and Komaruyama (city historic site), Tenjinyama (Matsuyama), and Eitokujiyama forming natural defensive walls. Most of the Sannomaru and the moat have been lost, but the Honmaru and Ninomaru are well preserved.
Most of the buildings were destroyed in the air raids in 1945, but the Fushimi Yagura (Important Cultural Property), which is said to have been relocated from Fushimi Castle, and the Sukitetsu Gomon (Important Cultural Property) still exist today, showing their majesty. . The castle tower, Yudono, and Tsukimiyagura were rebuilt in 1966, the mirror tower was rebuilt in 1973, and the bell tower (an important cultural property of the city) was restored in 1979. It is what was done.
Fukuyama Castle has a majestic appearance befitting the residence of the lord of the castle, the ``guard of the west country,'' and is a historically valuable remnant of the castle.
27-28 August 2022 they celebrate for 400 years!! awesome.
Fukuyama City Zoo Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Fukuyama City Zoo
#2024wish
I went there for the first time in several years.
Although the admission fee has gone up a bit, it's still quite cheap compared to other zoos, and it's a good idea if it's free for junior high school students and younger and those over 65. The sense of scale is just right for entertaining small children. The animals themselves are almost the same as they were in the past, and I felt that the number of individuals has actually decreased.
I want to visit this place again in 2024.
