Zhaoxing Dong Village is perfect for a weekend getaway (Travel Guide Edition)

🚄Guangzhou South ➡️ Congjiang (over 3 hours, 184 yuan, round trip is about the same). After arriving at Congjiang, turn right out of the station and take a bus to the entrance of the Dong Village (more than 10 minutes, 10 yuan). The accommodation you booked will usually pick you up at the entrance. ‼️Photo 📷 Tips: The village is not big, one day is enough to explore. Pictures 1-7 are all close together, very near the hotel I stayed at. If you can't find it, use navigation to find Jiajie Tie Dye Craft! Pictures 8 and 9 are taken on a rooftop. Many photo shops in the village will claim exclusivity, but actually, everyone can go up there. It's a hotel that has temporarily ceased operations, just go straight up, but be careful. I'm not sure if it will be closed later (search for Qingfeng Xiaoyuan Guesthouse). Pictures 10-16 are at Tang'an Rice Terraces. Take a bus from the Dong Village up there. It's a bit far from the main street of the village. I had the hotel arrange transportation. The bus is 20 yuan for a round trip. Don't throw away your ticket, you'll need it for the return trip. It takes about 20 minutes, and the road is winding, so those who get motion sickness, be aware!‼️ The bus doesn't go all the way to the top of the mountain, so you'll have to walk more than 1 kilometer, but there are private cars available for 5 yuan per person. The rice terraces are very much worth visiting, I think they are even more pleasant than inside the village. After visiting the viewing platform, be sure to walk further up!
