Leifeng Pagoda in Hangzhou

Location: Leifeng Pagoda, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China Entrance fee: 40¥ Date: October 2, 2021 Leifeng Pagoda is a five-storey tall tower with eight sides, located on south of the West Lake. Originally constructed in the year AD 975, the pagoda was named Huang Fei Pagoda after the old king's favorite concubine, who gave him a son. It collapsed in 1924 but was rebuilt in 2002. The new pagoda opened on 25 October 2002. Since then, it has become a popular tourist attraction. At the entrance of the pagoda, there are two autonomous escalators to carry visitors to the base of the pagoda. You can also see the remnants of the old pagoda inside Leifeng pagoda. Each floor has a different view of surrounding area as well as interesting sculptures inside the building. On the highest floor, you can enjoy a stunning view of the West Lake and beautiful nature. As this pagoda is the most famous place in Hangzhou, so it’s always crowded, especially during holidays. If you want to go upstairs, you need to stay in long and crowded lines to get to the elevator or just use the stairs. Anyway I think using the stairs will be more comfortable and faster, than waiting for the elevator. #hangzhou #leifeng #westlake #nature #sightseeing #touristattraction #traveling
