Fiery Tagong Grassland [Tagong Grassland in Autumn]

Tagong Grassland is not only known for its fiery autumn color, but also the snow mountains forming the backdrop of the grassland. This is a large grassland bordered by the state road along the stretches of the west, mountain range to the east, and it is located a short distance south of the Moshi Park. Further east was the foothill of a mountain range, perhaps due to the far distance, appeared as red brown rolling mountains. At the altitude, there is no sighting of tree; I spotted one in the vast grassland, which to me was a precious sighting. Two major snow mountains can be viewed from here. Yala Snow Mountain (5,820m) could be seen towards the east, from the west of the grassland. She stood out as the background of the mountain range, prominently with steep slopes with several peaks. Another major snow mountain which could be seen from the west of the grassland, was Qingrao Holy Mountain (5,305m) to the southeast. She was seen to have broad slopes covered with snow. Tagong Grassland is often included as either one of the stopovers or destinations in Daocheng Yading tours.
