The charm and dignity of the golden dome

Seeing the tall and solemn Hehao Tower, the architectural structure is simple, the lower part is round, the treasure bottle and the tower are dazzling scenery. We walked into the square base part, inside is the scripture corridor. Turning the scriptures in the "belly" of the white tower is my first time. (Dehe Warehouse) Langmu Temple has good feng shui, surrounded by red rocks, overlapping peaks, green pines and cypresses in the mountains, green grass at the foot of the mountains, clear river water, unique scenery, coupled with unique architectural style, golden and brilliant, making the natural landscape here even more magnificent and charming. Walking up the slope on the east side, we saw the Great Cathedral, sitting north to south, with a larger platform in front, which is one of the main buildings here; the south side of the Great Cathedral is a small hill, full of trees on the hill, known as "Debate Forest". The top of the Great Cathedral has three layers of golden domes, a large pillar on one layer of steps, with curtains on top, the background is a gray-blue bottom flower pattern, in the middle of the pattern is a small pattern of Dharma instruments in the large white bottom central part, this row of patterns is nine pictures, the middle is the typical Tibetan Buddhism Logo of the double sheep kneeling Dharma. The outer eaves of the second floor are also curtains hanging down, the patterns on top are interesting, nine arrangements, each one is a "ten-phase freedom" picture; I searched online: this picture is composed of 10 symbols (3 shapes and 7 Sanskrit letters), which can be understood as the symbols of Mount Sumeru and various parts of the human body symbolized by 10 symbols, such as: half a sun pattern represents wisdom, a red dot represents the body, and a flame-like shape represents emptiness; in short, it has the highest sacred meaning and incomparably huge mysterious power, I think it's mysterious! The "rooms" on both sides of the hall are small in scale, and the curtain patterns are white and blue, which look good. All the color combinations here look very harmonious, solemn and quiet, and they look like new decorations. There seems to be a large row of red stones on the small hilltop in the distance on the east side of the hall, arranged like "city walls" or "screens", which are rare Danxia landform red cliffs, the color of which varies with the angle of the shining sunlight, which is also magical! Very suitable for taking pictures. There are relatively few tourists here, we went up close, admired the murals at the entrance of the Great Cathedral, recognized including: the Four Great Heavenly Kings, and the "Four Combination Picture" composed of elephants + monkeys + rabbits + birds, another picture is the "Ten Elephant Picture" often seen in Tibetan Buddhist temples - a monkey leading the way in front, followed by an elephant and a monk, winding up the road, interestingly, the color of the elephant gradually lightens with the height, finally the elephant at the high place becomes completely white, and the monk? Finally, he rode on the back of the white elephant and ascended along the rainbow road! This represents the nine stages of learning Buddhism, too vivid! Enter the interior of the hall to take off your shoes, no photography allowed. The decoration inside the shop is the same as the hall of Labrang Monastery, with pillars, hanging sutra umbrellas, and the carpet seats where the monks sit, and the high master's seat in the middle. This hall is relatively bright, compared with Labrang Monastery, the reason is that a large part of all the decoration colors is orange, and the rest are mixed with gold ribbons, the carpet seats are not only ocher, but also orange, the decoration wrapping of the pillars is also orange as the base color, so it appears vibrant and not so dim. Next to the Living Buddha's seat are exquisite statues of the Living Buddhas of all generations, as well as large photos of the ninth, tenth, and eleventh Panchen Lamas, for believers to pay their respects. It is said that the first Living Buddha of this (Saiche) temple, Jiang Can Sang Ge, was intelligent and virtuous, and he obtained the highest degree and honor in the Buddhist world--Chewa. Although the scale and fame of Langmu Temple are not as great as those of Labrang Monastery, the prestige of the presiding officer is very great, and his status among the Living Buddhas in Tibet is second only to the Dalai Lama and Panchen Lama. The northwest side of the Great Cathedral is a high ground, where several halls are located, built according to the slope, with a strong sense of hierarchy. We got up to the first level platform, looking up at the five large golden dome buildings above, very beautiful and majestic, adding to the sacredness of Langmu Temple. I like to take pictures in front of the Bianma Wall, because the first time I saw this kind of wall was in the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet, so for me, this is a prominent feature of Tibetan Buddhist architecture. From here down to the Debate Forest on the south side of the Great Cathedral, around a circle is a tall cypress tree, in the sun, the open field is sitting more than 70 monks wearing ocher robes, they are listening to the master's lecture; the master sits in a sunshade pavilion, next to a "secretary"-like monk. There is a hall under the slope on the south side - the Hall of the Horse-headed Ming King; the main merits of the Horse-headed Ming King are: subduing Rakshasa, ghosts, gods, and all the demons of the Eight Parts of the Heavenly Dragon, eliminating the ignorance of karma, plague, suffering, avoiding all evil curses and evil methods, etc.; it is said that his face is very fierce. Before leaving Langmu Temple, I went to the scripture room outside to turn the scripture drum again! Not for entertainment, but a physical "goodbye"! Compared with Labrang Monastery, I still like Langmu Temple to see this "miniature" temple, coupled with the surrounding natural scenery, it is not too much to call it "Little Switzerland".
