A must-visit ancient town in a lifetime

If you have visited too many commercialized ancient towns and are tired of the same aesthetic, Qingmuchuan, located at the westernmost part of Shaanxi, at the junction of Shaanxi, Sichuan, and Gansu provinces, is still worth a look. Especially for those from Xi'an and northern Sichuan, a weekend is all you need to enjoy a walk in an ancient town surrounded by green mountains and clear waters. For weekend trips, high-speed rail is recommended. Departing from Xi'an, you can reach Ningqiang South Station or Guangyuan Station in Sichuan within 2 hours by high-speed rail. Then you can take a taxi or a bus to the ancient town. We traveled during the National Day holiday when we had more time, so we chose to drive. We took our time and stopped at service areas to rest, even making a detour through Guangyuan, and it took us six to seven hours to arrive. One and a half hours of the journey was on mountain roads with beautiful scenery!
