Nanhetou, formerly known as 'Mingke Li', was historically the affluent area of Pinghu. During the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, the district prospered like never before, becoming one of the areas where merchants and officials gathered. Many prestigious families from Pinghu built large mansions, ancestral halls, and private gardens here, leaving behind a wealth of historical relics.
