When I want to clear my mind in Quzhou, I usually go here

Today, no, yesterday the sky cleared up. I felt like visiting Hengxi Village. I first stumbled upon this place when I was passing by on my way to inspect a construction site in Longyou. The tall parasitic trees, the mottled stone paths, the weeds growing wildly without any order, the nameless yellow flowers blooming by the river, a mother and child pair of buffaloes leisurely grazing, the harmony of nature suddenly welcomed me, an outsider, without the buffaloes even being startled, which made me happy. I often drive around alone, without the boldness of a man, sticking mostly to the suburbs or familiar mountains, rarely visiting toll scenic spots or wild routes, preferring places that are off the beaten path yet safe. There's a village behind this place, but the woods are usually deserted every time I visit. I walk, clear my head, and even try to take selfies. I've been caught in a light drizzle here, captured the sunlight flickering through the gaps in the leaves, had my shoes wet by the grass after the rain, chased a squirrel, watched water droplets leap in the sunset, listened to the sound of the stream passing through the woods, stared at the reflection of trees on the calm water surface, and even thrown stones into the river, undisturbed, which is really comforting and joyful. The scenery is alive, different every season, every day, every moment, related to change, and even more to mood. What the eyes see is always more beautiful and meaningful than what photos can convey.
