Snow Magic in Shirakawa-go

#2023travelwish Definitely recommended ! This historical village is on the UNESCO list. The main point is houses. It attracts attention with its unique architecture. Since the roofs of houses resemble the shape of praying hands, architecture is called gassho zukuri, meaning praying hands. This village during the winter receives a lot of snow every year. However, there is no problem for houses because the structure of roofs is quite appropriate for strict weather conditions. To be able to feel Japanese culture deeply, it should be stayed in ryokan (Japanese traditional lnn) overnight.
