Pink Temple

#bucketlistreboot Banteay Srei began built in 967 CE by the king teacher, it is the smallest site at Angkor Park. Located 30 kilometers away from Siem Reap centre. This Hindu Temple dedicated to Shiva is wonderfully well preserved and it is said that it must be built by women, because the cravings are too fine for the hand of a man. Banteay Srei is built largely of a hard ref sandstone that can be carved like wood. Brick and laterite were used only for the enclosure walls. Because the site is very exposed, so the ideal time to visit is in the early morning or late afternoon, so you can admire the beauty of its sandstone lintels and pediments.
