#discoverchina Mudu Ancient Town in Suzhou is one of those charming water towns where everything feels peaceful and timeless. The place is connected by a network of waterways, making it super relaxing to explore either on foot or by boat. The Qing emperor actually loved this town so much that he built a vacation palace here to unwind whenever he was in Suzhou! You’ll find plenty of historical spots to check out, from ancient temples to old bridges. If you’re into silk, you’re in for a treat. Mudu has some legit silk shops where you can score beautiful silk clothes and ornaments. It’s like stepping back in time while still getting to enjoy the best of what Suzhou offers. Definitely worth a visit if you want to soak in the history and maybe pick up something special!
