|The days of Yao and Shun. Shun, whose surname was Yao, name was Chonghua, and nickname was You Yu, was one of the "Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors" and the ninth-generation grandson of Emperor Huangdi. During his reign, he sympathized with the people, governed the country with virtue, improved the legal system, revised rituals, controlled floods, developed production, and created a harmonious era of clear politics, social stability, bumper harvests, and well-being for the people. The ancients used "Yao's Heaven and Shun's Day" to praise his and Yao's great achievements. The Mausoleum and Temple of Emperor Shun include the mausoleum, temple and imperial city. The entire mausoleum area faces north and south. There are two stone statues guarding the mausoleum. The mausoleum is covered with lush green locust trees and cypress trees, and the whole mausoleum is solemn and majestic. Outside the mausoleum is the Shun Emperor Park, and the local government of Yuncheng also moved the Salt Lake District Museum here. During every festival, there are often lantern shows here. The colorful lanterns are magnificent and the colorful glass is dazzling. The ticket price is HKD20, and both the park and museum parts are free.
