The desolate Beichangtan

Beichangtan ancient village is located in the Yellow River Grand Canyon. It is named after the beach formed by the impact of the Yellow River. Walking into the village, there are less than thirty households of indigenous people left, and the place is desolate everywhere. The earthen wall architecture may be the most characteristic of the northwest region within Ningxia, and it retains the most complete and concentrated houses. Not far from Beichangtan, there is a popular road – Zhongwei Route 66, where many tourists come to take photos every day.
