Geoje island
This island is the second largest island of Korea after Jeju island. It is also the region where the largest shipyards are located. I was surprised that the number of people who spoke English on the island was quite high.
You have a very good chance of seeing a thousand and one shades of blue on the island and resting under the glass trees accompanied by the sound of birds.
I wish I want to visit this island one more time for over 4 days because I need to explore more things there…🙏🏽

Korean Travel | 'Winter Sonata' Filming Location: The Blue City Geoje Island
The Blue City Geoje Island is known as a vacation paradise for Koreans, and one of the must-visit itineraries on Geoje Island is the 'Haegeumgang + Oedo' tour, highly recommended!!! The scenery is super beautiful and definitely worth the ticket price~
Boarding the cruise, you can first admire the unique landscape of 'Haegeumgang', which means 'Diamond of the Sea'. It is said that this place was rich in medicinal herbs, and Xu Fu, who was in search of the elixir of life for Emperor Qin Shi Huang, once came here with 3,000 boys and girls and carved the words 'Xu Fu passed by here', naming it Herb Island~
Beyond Haegeumgang, nearby attractions like Cross Cave, Lion Rock, Mireuk Rock, and Candlestick Rock also offer various fascinating rock formations; after touring Haegeumgang, you can head to Oedo Island, which has a 44,000-pyeong natural camellia forest filled with subtropical plants such as cacti, cocoa trees, palm trees, coconut trees, etc., exuding an exotic charm. It was also the filming location for the grand finale of the super popular Asian drama 'Winter Sonata', which is incredibly photogenic and looks beautiful no matter how you take pictures!

Rhythm of the rain at Yoondol cafe
#cherryblossom2024
We were having our weekend getaway at Geoje Island but is met with a long life rain whole day, but this dods not stop us from driving around visiting nice places. At Gujora we came across this nice little cafe called Yoondol cafe by the sea in the mountain, and decided to take a break after a long drive. The cafe is designed to have a nordic style church structure from the exterior. We had pistachio cream and Korean leek with red bean cakes as our desserts, coupled with Matcha Latte and coffee, and they tasted so good while delicately prepared. So this is also a very good experience listening to the rhythm of the rain while enjoying our afternoon coffee and snacks.
