Bid Farewell to live pets
109 Guangxiao Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China, 510180
The bid farewell pond is built for the love of animals and pets. For owners who decide not to continue with their marine pets such as frog turtles or fishes, they can place it into the pond. This ensures they do get a new lease of life and not be dumped into the river or seas.
The water in the pond is clean and clear. This ensures the marine creatures will be able to live happily there. The huge pond is home to various species of marine animals. Your marine pet might even get to know more friends there and find a soul mate.

When in Guangzhou, whether you're praying for marriage, children, or something different altogether, do it in Guangxiao Temple. As the former residence of the Nanyue King, this is the oldest and greatest temple in south China. While you can't burn incense here, you can present the Buddha with flowers. Be sure not to wear anything revealing. You can take photos of the landscape here, but don't photograph the Buddha statues.
🌼🏛️ Yellow Beauty at Guangxiao Temple 🌿🌼
#cherryblossom2024
The spring breeze is still steep, yellow flowers as scheduled. Suzuki flowers are blooming as scheduled across Guangzhou. Perhaps inspired by the recent popularity of Chau Tau Tsui Yellow Flower Campanula Tree, this year Guangxiao Temple also planted a dozen Yellow Flower Tree Suzuki trees for the enjoyment of the ten parties. Compared with the Huanghuafeng Suzuki Avenue in Zhoutouzui, the planting scale in Guangxiao Temple is not large, only a dozen trees are planted around the lotus pond behind the bell tower. However, in the temple of ancient Fansha against the background, the yellow flowers here do not have a sense of beauty.

The golden trumpet trees at Guangxiao Temple are in splendid bloom
Spring in the city of Guangzhou is marked by flowers blossoming everywhere. Recently, the golden trumpet trees within Guangxiao Temple have burst into magnificent bloom, creating a stunning contrast with the classical architecture. The unique charm of the vibrant yellow flowers against the ancient buildings has attracted many locals.
Guangxiao Temple is the premier ancient Buddhist temple in the Lingnan region and a millennium-old Zen ancestral court. Reporters arrived today to see many citizens and tourists coming to admire and photograph the flowers, enjoying the leisure of a spring day beneath the trees.
Guangxiao Temple still preserves many historical cultural relics and monuments, such as: the Mahavira Hall built during the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the Ear-washing Fountain opened by Bodhidharma from the Southern Dynasties, the stupa of the Sixth Patriarch Huineng from the Tang Dynasty, the Dharani Sutra Stone Bell of Esoteric Buddhism, the Thousand Buddha Iron Pagoda cast during the Southern Han Dynasty, the Garan Hall and the Sixth Patriarch Hall constructed in the Song Dynasty, as well as steles, Buddha statues, and the Bodhi tree. The temple's grandeur and the elegant solemnity of its halls and pavilions truly make it a treasure of Chinese architectural art.
I can't believe you haven't heard of the romance at Guangzhou's Guangxiao Temple
"A flower, a leaf, a Tathagata; a Buddha, a temple, a realm of retribution."
The spring breeze blows through the ancient temple of Guangxiao in Guangzhou.
You can hear the bell and the Buddha's name at dawn and dusk, and there's always the sound of birds and the fragrance of flowers🌷
I had never heard that there were Yellow Bellflower trees inside Guangxiao Temple,
but overnight, the spring scenery of the ancient temple went viral online.
Compared to the two-kilometer Yellow Bellflower Avenue at Zhoutouzui,
the Yellow Bellflower trees in the ancient temple seem to attract more attention.
The harmony of spring and the ancient temple make a perfect match, so I decided to go🚶
In places like temples, ancestral halls, and historical relics,
Taking photos with ancient architecture as the background offers a wonderful ambiance.
After paying respects to the Buddha, you can also take pictures of the Yellow Bellflower trees✨
I believe many tourists come for this reason.
Go right after entering the main gate,
and you'll find the crowded spot for photographing the yellow flowers🌼
Here, with long lenses and bustling crowds,
The challenge is not the technique, but finding the angle!
📌Photo tips:
Besides taking photos with the temple's architecture as the background (pictures 7-9),
You can also use the temple's doors and windows to frame your shots (pictures 10, 18),
or use the smartphones raised by passersby for your composition (picture 3).
The best check-in spot or the place where most people take photos
is the conspicuous wall with the character 'Zen' (picture 4).
Right in the foreground, there's a splash of yellow flowers blooming.
Many people use the yellow flowers as the foreground to photograph the Zen character.

Guangzhou Temple Check-in | Guangxiao Temple
"There was Guangxiao before there was Yangcheng," is a common saying among the people of Yangcheng, which shows the long history of Guangxiao Temple. Located in the bustling area of Yuexiu District, Guangxiao Temple has been bringing various blessings to the people of Guangzhou for over a thousand years!
The History of Guangxiao Temple
It is one of the famous ancient architectural complexes in Guangdong, with a history of more than two thousand years. According to the 'Guangxiao Temple Chronicles', it was originally the former residence of Zhao Jiande, the king of Nanyue in the 2nd century BC. During the Three Kingdoms period, Yu Fan of the Wu Kingdom was exiled here and turned it into a garden, which was known as Yu Garden. After Yu Fan's death, his family converted the residence into a temple. The temple's name was changed several times: initially called Zhizhi Temple, during the Eastern Jin Dynasty it was called Wuyuan Temple, in the Tang Dynasty it was known as Qianming Faxing Temple, during the Five Dynasties it was called Qianheng Temple, in the Northern Song Dynasty it was called Wanshou Chan Temple, in the Southern Song Dynasty it was called Baoen Guangxiao Temple, and not long after, the character 'Guang' was changed from '广' to '光', and it was renamed Guangxiao Temple.

The yellow bell flowers at Guangzhou's Guangxiao Temple are truly beautiful
Visiting the temple for prayers is a must every New Year.
This year, the yellow bell flowers at Guangxiao Temple are simply stunning!
💐 Flower Viewing Guide:
The yellow bell flowers are located in a separate small courtyard on the right side after entering the temple.
The restroom is also on that side.
It is recommended to finish worshipping at the temple first,
then go to enjoy the flowers.
📷 It's a bit crowded.
You can take pictures at 2x speed or look for a good angle.
The flowers are still blooming beautifully now,
but viewing the flowers is secondary.
The most important thing is to go to the temple to absorb the spiritual energy,
with a focus on sincerity.

Personal experience after visiting🙆🏻♂️:
Visited on the afternoon of March 11
1️⃣Perhaps because of the recent heavy rain in Guangzhou, many of the yellow Tabebuia flowers🌼 have been blown away by the wind and rain, and many branches have lost their color, so if you, like me, came to take photos📸, you might want to wait a few days and come back to see.
2️⃣Since you've come, why not be sincere and pray for blessings and safety for yourself and your family.
Before there was the city of goats, there was Guangxiao
Travel guide.
Guangzhou has a saying: Before there was the city of goats, there was Guangxiao.
Guangxiao Temple, one of the famous ancient architectural complexes in Guangdong, is located at the north end of Guangxiao Road in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, near Jinghui Road.
It is said that praying here is the most efficacious, where one can pray for peace, career, marriage, and education.
Seeing this DNA moved me to go to the temple for some financial luck during the break
◾️About worshiping Buddha
Guangxiao Temple is now practicing 'flower offerings to Buddha, hands together without kowtowing.' Along the road from the subway exit to Guangxiao Temple, there are many vendors selling fresh flowers, with an average price of 10-15 yuan per bunch. You can also bring them from home, and the temple also sells them.
When worshiping Buddha, put your hands together and make a wish, offering a flower after each Buddha is worshiped. It is not recommended to buy water lilies as they attract bees, but lilies and roses (for marriage), cockscombs (for career), carnations (for health), and all-purpose flowers (for various wishes) are suggested.
◾️Buddha worship route
Guangxiao Temple emphasizes not taking the same path back. There is a sign at the entrance, and you can follow the marked route clockwise to worship Buddha. If you get lost, don't worry too much, the most important thing is sincerity.
◾️Amulets
Following the Buddha worship route, you can see a small wooden hut behind the Thai Buddha Hall, where they sell amulets for education (35 yuan), wealth and career (25 yuan), peace (20 yuan), and marriage (30 yuan), all of which have been consecrated. Queue up according to what you wish for.
◾️Blessing bags (amulets in red envelopes, not to be opened)
Wealth: Put the red envelope in the phone case, and the sachet in the bag or at the workstation
Marriage: Wear the red string on the wrist, and the sachet in the bag
◾️Fulfilling vows
You can prepare some fresh flowers or bring some change to add to the oil lamps, etc.
·
Other tips
❶The older generation says it's best to worship Buddha in the morning, I was planning to go in the afternoon but changed it to the next morning
❷Be careful not to take photos of the Buddha statues, set your phone to silent, and you can take pictures of some buildings and scenes inside the temple
❸Dress appropriately, do not wear short skirts, shorts, off-shoulder tops, vests, slippers, etc.
❹You can bring paper money, there are incense boxes in each hall where you can make offerings
❺Be aware of scammers at the temple entrance, try not to linger
❻Effective Buddha worship
When worshiping Buddha, state your name, ID number, birth date, where you come from, current address, express your wishes, and then bow sincerely
◾️Focus on these three halls for wealth/marriage/health:
Garland Hall: For wealth
Guanyin Hall: For marriage/children
Ksitigarbha Hall: For peace/health
Wishing method: State your name/birth date/current residence + specific wish (with a deadline, usually one year) + vow fulfillment time (fulfill the vow within the deadline if the wish is achieved)
Wishing everyone's dreams come true and everything goes smoothly
Location: No. 109 Guangxiao Road, Yuexiu District
Subway: Exit C of Ximenkou Station on Subway Line 1, turn right and go straight

Time: 8:00-16:00

Guangxiao Temple, located in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China, is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Guangzhou. Founded in 537 AD, Guangxiao Temple has a history of over 1,500 years and is an important historical and cultural heritage of Guangzhou, as well as a significant sacred site for Buddhism in southern China.
Now, the Golden Trumpet Trees in the temple are in full bloom, and those golden flowers really give off a sense of radiance🌟
By the lotus pond in the temple, the Golden Trumpet Trees sway gently in the spring breeze like a series of wind chimes. The blooming period of the Golden Trumpet Trees is very short, only about 10-15 days. Also, don't forget that the kapok flowers in the temple are also starting to bloom one after another.
The flowers are now blooming particularly densely, feeling even more enchanting than those in Zhou Tou Zhu Park and Mo Die Sha Park.

This was totally unexpected!
The Golden Trumpet Trees are planted around the release pond in the temple
The blossoming trees around the lotus pond, under the architecture full of Zen spirit,
Have a different charm compared to those in parks and by the roadside
The flowers are blooming densely right now
Even better than those in Zhou Tou Jiao Park and Mo Die Sha Park
Moreover, the Kapok flowers in the temple are also blooming one after another
I guess the spring in Guangxiao Temple will be very lively

Mrs. Cassandra Little PhD A grain of rice paint art
109 Guangxiao Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China, 510180
The filial temple has a history of more than five centuries. The temple is one of the more popular attractions in Guangzhou.
A short walk in the temple brings you back to the past where only the royals can enter the temple. A walk further into the tower there are several booths selling souvenirs. A booth that catches my eyes is rice painting art.
I went to engage the service of the experienced lady. She first asked me to write my surname on a piece of paper. She then transformed the character into a small grain of rice. This is indeed very tiring and challenging as the grain of rice is super tiny. Yet she is able to do so well. The price of each writing on the rice cost 40 yuan.
#bucketlistreboot
Guangxiao Temple is one of the rare ancient temples in Guangzhou. It has the saying that there is no sheep city, and there is light filial piety. During the period of Han Gaodi, Guangzhou was still in the state of Southern Man, and it was desolate and backward, as if it had been forgotten by the times. The first generation of Nanyue Wang Zhaoyu brought civilization and hope to Guangzhou, and made this long-forgotten corner alive. After Zhao Yus death, his descendants succeeded, and Guangxiao Temple was the former residence of Zhao Jiande, the descendant of Nanyue.
The stove was sold out, the moon slanted from the wind, and the coldness of the sky was blown, and the old wind was blown. In the era of the Three Kingdoms, Zhao Jiandes former residence was turned over to the son of Wu Guoris South Taishou, and his house was abandoned as a garden. After the death, the temple was converted into a temple. Since then, the Guangxiao Temple has been opened for thousands of years with a long history. It can be said that "one stone and one wood are affectionate, and one pavilion and one temple are all traced."
