\\Tourist Spots// Hosooka Observatory is an observation deck where you can see the meandering Kushiro River and Mount Oakan and Mount Meakan in front of you on a clear day. It is about 500m away from the adjacent visitor's lounge. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, but even in the rain the view was magnificent. \\Spots// Right next to the Hosooka Observatory in the Kushiro Marshlands is the Hosooka Visitors Lounge, where you can also gather information. Inside the lounge, there are photo exhibits where you can enjoy the Kushiro Marshlands in all four seasons, a cafe, and sofas for resting. The cute tourist train "Kushiro-Shitsugen Norokko" runs on this line. I waited with my camera in hand, but it was unexpectedly suspended... Don't forget to check the operation!!
