A while ago, I took advantage of the weekend to go to Changsha for three days and two nights. We stayed in a homestay near Wuyi Square. The homestay was decorated very warmly. Since we left at night, we went to bed very early. The next morning, we visited the Hunan Art Museum. At noon, we petted cats and had afternoon tea at the nearby cat studio. In the evening, we went to Huangxing Square for dinner and supper. We had the famous local braised duck. Oysters were half the price of Zhuhai. The next afternoon, we went skiing in the snow country. Since we arrived late, the tickets for the evening session were more cost-effective. The ski resort is divided into "snow entertainment" equipment and "skiing equipment". In addition, private coaches can be hired. That night, we returned to Wuyi Square to play music games. Then we went home the next morning~

Since college, Changsha has been my frequent transit city. I can't count how many times I've been to Changsha, but almost every time I come, I discover something new! 💁‍♀️This time, during my transit, I spent two days and one night in the Houhu Art District, known as "Changsha's Gulangyu Island," and unlocked new ways to explore! ⭐️Houhu Art District The Houhu Art District is located at the foot of Mount Yuelu and on the banks of the Xiangjiang River, boasting a unique natural environment. It was once an old community in Changsha, but after renovation, it has transformed into a cultural and art district integrating artistic creation, exhibition, trading, and leisure. 📷There are also many small shops in the district suitable for taking photos, such as Old Europe Coffee, Ji She, Cement House, No Indicators, and Visible City Bookstore. 🎨Hunan Art Museum The museum was exhibiting "The Centennial Art Road of Huxiang" and "'Flowing in Time - Multiple Practices of Centennial European Painting' Special Exhibition for the 60th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and France." The quality of the exhibitions is excellent, and there are not many visitors currently. 💡Exhibitions change periodically, so you can check them out before you come to see if you're interested. 🏞️Xiangjiang River Beach Park This park is built along the river, offering a vast view of the riverscape. In the afternoon, stroll through Xiangjiang River Beach Park and enjoy your leisure time. PS: If you haven't been to Mount Yuelu before, it is recommended to go there on the second morning. Flowing in Time: Multiple Practices of European Painting in the Past Century, a special exhibition celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, opened at the Hunan Art Museum. The Hunan Art Museum specially launched this exhibition, presenting 88 pieces from the collection of the Musée Franciscain. From the Renaissance to the 19th century, European painting continued to move forward along the path of reproducing reality. Precise shapes, vivid colors, and changing light and shadow were gradually integrated into the painting space constructed by linear perspective, in order to reproduce the real world perceived by vision and mind. Over the centuries of evolution of painting concepts, techniques, and schools, the establishment of art academies has played a pivotal role. This exhibition features 88 works by 38 artists, many of whom benefited from the training of art academies. Their works cover a variety of subjects, including portraits, customs, and landscapes, as well as sketches and watercolors prepared for the creation of large religious and historical paintings. These works allow us to focus on the details, observe the painters' brushstrokes, and perceive their skills and ingenuity throughout the artistic creation process. At the same time, we can also see the profound imprint of the trends of the times in their works. The exhibition also introduces 19th-century Russian realist landscape and figure paintings, showcasing the diversity and inclusiveness of European painting.
