Near Waterloo station in central London, you will find the Imperial war museum. It showcases the British civil and military war effort since the First world war.
Inside are now five floors that show archives of photo, film, and video material over the past century. Currently there is a superb exhibition on northern Ireland and the Troubles. There is also a section dedicated to the holocaust in addition to its permanent exhibition. Admission is free!

Getting there: You can take tube and stop at Lambeth North station. The place is just 6 minutes walk away.
Highlights: If you care about war history, the Imperial War Museum is the place to go. There are amazing collections of items. I have learned a lot here. The exhibitions covers political aspects, the battles and the life of the common people during the era. The collections are very well organized. Excellent Museum shop and very friendly staff here. This was on my bucket list and I'm very happy to have had an opportunity to see this place and spend time. 🤩
