Nanchong - Latest Travel Guide - Qinghui Pavilion
Nanchong's Qinghui Pavilion is about to be completed. This antique building stands on the banks of the Jialing River and is set to become a new city landmark.
Nanchong's Qinghui Pavilion is a place I have always longed for. It is not just a building, but a witness to history. I once lived in Nanchong for a while, and at that time, Qinghui Pavilion was still under construction. Now, I finally see it nearing completion. The robust brackets and upturned eaves of Qinghui Pavilion seem to tell ancient stories. Imagine how pleasant it would be to stand on the top of the pavilion, bathed in the river breeze, watching the sunrise in the east and the sunset in the west. Unfortunately, we can no longer compose poems like 'The mountains are like city walls ten miles long, the river is a misty wave an inch of clear green.' Most of the people strolling in front of Qinghui Pavilion Square are elderly. They used to travel on ferries across the river, but now they have turned their once bold spirit into a serene and peaceful one. A few kites soar up, crossing Qinghui Pavilion, becoming a few ink spots on the azure canvas. Standing beside Qinghui Pavilion, time seems to rewind eight hundred years, back to the Southern Song Dynasty.
Nanchong's Qinghui Pavilion is a witness to history and a symbol of a city. I hope it can become a new calling card for Nanchong, letting more people understand the history and culture of this city.
