Mercure Hotel, a haven for travelers
Going north from Datong, the entire Shanxi Province is indeed rich in historical heritage. Here I would like to focus on the city of Linfen. The city roads are very clean, unlike the coal-filled Shanxi that I imagined. Before I came here, I always heard my colleague (from Linfen) say "When we arrived in Linfen, we are going home", and I finally realized it. Whether it was a restaurant, a hotel, or a bus driver, they were all very enthusiastic, which really made me feel at home. When you come to Linfen, you must take a bus. The styles are novel and there are many types (the first time it is used to describe public transportation). There are panda buses, mini buses, 520 buses, double-decker intercity sightseeing buses, etc. The public toilets are also very clean, with various appearances, and are said to be of five-star standards.
However, the attractions in Linfen are relatively scattered, so I chose to book a hotel in Yaodu District, Linfen, and chose a Mercure Hotel close to the high-speed rail, about 8 minutes' drive away. I have stayed in Mercure several times in other cities before, and the feeling is quite good. It happens that Mercure Linfen has a high score, so I also came to experience it. The overall environment is very clean, the service is also very good, and there is a pick-up station. The next day I will go to the high-speed rail station to take a bus to go out and play, and the hotel can also arrange to send me to the station, which is very awesome. The location of the hotel is also very good, close to the Fen River. You can watch the sunrise for breakfast and the night view at night, which is very pleasant. It's just that the attractions in the whole Shanxi are relatively scattered, and you have to get up early, but it's still worth a visit. This time staying in Mercure Linfen made me feel very comfortable. I will choose this hotel next time I come. It is also the hotel I want to recommend to my family when they go to Linfen.
