#Prince Teng’s Pavilion Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Prince Teng’s Pavilion 🌸
From the main gates going up about 1000 steps will take you to this beautiful pavilion which is located on the top of the mountain in city Langzhong. It has history of more than 1300 years. From the top of the mountain you can enjoy the panoramic view of the city. 🏙
I’d recommend to travel here in spring, because all your way from the bottom to the top from both sides will be covered with many trees of cherry blossom 🌸
To visit the sightseeing no ticket is required.

🌟Langzhong Tengwang Pavilion: A millennium of ancient charm, the Tang style reappears 📍Langzhong Tengwang Pavilion, located on Zhangfei North Road in Langzhong City, Nanchong, Sichuan, is a classical palace-style ancient building with a Tang Dynasty style double-eaved hip-and-gable roof. It was built by Li Yuanying, the twenty-second son of Emperor Gaozu of the Tang Dynasty, and is known as Longyuan. This place not only has a long history but also boasts beautiful natural scenery and a rich cultural heritage.
Open all day, no admission fee. Famous attractions such as Tengwang Pavilion, Yutai Villa, and Tengwang Pavilion await your exploration.
Li Yuanying, the Tengwang, the twenty-second son of Emperor Gaozu of the Tang Dynasty, was spoiled from a young age, arrogant and unruly, and repeatedly violated the constitution. His artistic cultivation laid the foundation for the construction of Tengwang Pavilion. The Langzhong Tengwang Pavilion was built by Li Yuanying during his tenure in Langzhong, and Yutai Observatory was also constructed at the same time. Today, only some of the platform bases and a few broken houses remain, but the Yi Shen and Ci Shi caves and the cliff inscriptions are well preserved.
Du Fu, the great poet of the Tang Dynasty, visited Langzhong twice and ascended the Tengwang Pavilion many times to compose poems and express his feelings. In famous works such as 'Tengwang Pavilion' and 'Yutai Mountain', he left beautiful verses like 'The clear river and brocade stones hurt the heart's beauty, tender buds and dense flowers fill the eyes with splendor', which are sung through the ages. Next to Tengwang Pavilion, there is also a Tang Dynasty pagoda, which is basically intact and is another important cultural heritage of Langzhong.
Plan your trip now, Langzhong Tengwang Pavilion is waiting for you to appreciate the charm of a millennium of ancient rhyme and the allure of the Tang style!
