We arrived at Changi Airport late in the morning. After clearing immigration, we headed straight to the MRT to get to the city center. We chose a budget-friendly hotel in Little India, a vibrant area filled with Indian culture and delicious food.
After checking in and unpacking, we started the day by visiting Sri Mariamman Temple (Wat Khaek), a sacred site frequented by worshippers throughout the day. The atmosphere here is peaceful and relaxing.
Then, we walked to Chinatown, a shopping and dining area with a wide variety of local souvenirs, dessert shops, and street food. For dinner, we enjoyed a delicious meal at the famous Jumbo Seafood Riverside, featuring stir-fried black pepper crab and fresh seafood dishes.
Day Two — Soak up the modern vibe and indulge in some shopping🦁
The second morning began with a light breakfast at the hotel. We traveled to the Marina Bay Sands area, which is known for its giant ship-shaped architecture atop the building. It houses shopping malls, hotels, and stunning viewpoints.
We continued our shopping at Harbourfront, a large shopping mall near the Sentosa Express boarding point. We stopped for coffee at TCC – The Connoisseur Concerto, a European-style cafe with a wonderful atmosphere.
In the evening, we strolled around Clarke Quay, a neighborhood known for its riverside bars and restaurants. We opted for a local dish at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh, a restaurant known for its rich and flavorful Chinese herbal soup. We then concluded our visit by strolling through Merlion Park and taking photos with Singapore's landmarks.
Last Day — Enjoy dessert and Universal Studios🦁
Our last morning, we started with Kaya Toast, a toast spread with coconut milk and sweet egg. This is a must-try dessert when visiting Singapore. Next, we went shopping along Orchard Road, especially at ION Orchard, where you can find a wide variety of products, from famous brands to a variety of restaurants.
In the afternoon, we took the MRT to Sentosa Island to conclude our trip with Universal Studios Singapore, which is full of rides and exciting shows.
Getting there🦁
We mainly used the MRT and buses. They're convenient, fast, and cover almost every point of interest. The bus fare was around 1,500–2,000 baht for two people.
