The best location is the water tank on the right side of the the Shakya ManiHall, and the combination of reflection is very good. The Zen ambiance of the red plum blossoms at Tiefo Temple is unforgettable
After yearning for the plum blossoms at Tiefo Temple in Huzhou for many years, they have now become the top trendsetters in the circle. Although I anticipated a crowd, I was still stunned by the wall of people inside the small temple when I arrived. Built during the Southern Dynasties, the temple's two famous plum trees were planted during the Republic of China era, with a history of a hundred years. Perhaps it's the divine aura of the ancient temple, but the plum trees bear six-petaled flowers, a rare variety. The blossoms are umbrella-shaped, delicate in form, fragrant, and their color is a vivid pink with hints of purple, indeed more vibrant than other plum blossoms. No filter is needed to highlight their beauty, which explains why so many people rush to photograph them. The beauty of these two trees is genuine, stylish and elegant, and even a mere glimpse is a feast for the eyes. It seems that the temple authorities also made arrangements to match, as the lighting inside the Mahavira Hall gloriously illuminated the Buddha statue, creating a unique visual effect of Zen sounds and plum shadows. The evening before, I braved the cold and waited until the temple was about to close and hurriedly took an imperfect panoramic shot of the two trees. The next morning, instead of the overcast weather predicted, it suddenly cleared up. I entered the temple again, and the light and shadows were spectacular, allowing me to capture a set of unforgettable Zen red plum blossoms.

An ancient temple with a thousand-year history and a hundred-year-old plum tree catches fire
The Tiefo Temple, located in the bustling area of Huzhou, was originally the Dong Guangfu Guanyin Temple, which was established in the early Tang Dynasty. It was named after a Song Dynasty iron-cast Guanyin statue within the temple. Every year, when the plum blossoms are in full bloom, Huzhou's Tiefo Temple becomes a famous spot for plum blossom appreciation, known far and wide. Although the Tiefo Temple was not originally well-known, in recent years, as soon as the news of the blooming of the two ancient six-petal plum trees spreads, it attracts tourists from the entire Yangtze River Delta and even the whole country. This small temple then becomes a limited-time hot internet-famous tourist attraction.
To not miss the century-old red plum blossoms, I got up at 5:30 in the morning
🚗 Taking advantage of the peak blooming season, I woke up at 5:30 am and drove for an hour and a half from Pudong, Shanghai, heading to the Tiefo Temple in Huzhou.
🧩 Tiefo Temple doesn't charge an entrance fee nor requires a reservation. It's not a large place, but there are many visitors. I entered the temple before eight o'clock and already saw more than ten photography enthusiasts with their cameras set up at various spots
🧩 The scent of plum blossoms in spring is rich at Tiefo Temple. Decorated with plum blossoms, it's incredibly beautiful, like a fairyland. The white and pink plum blossoms are blooming vigorously, complementing each other, and are stunningly gorgeous.
🧩 The yellow walls of Tiefo Temple and the pink plum blossoms complement each other, creating a Zen-like ancient charm. It's very picturesque, and every casual snapshot is a beautiful scene.
🧩 The millennium-old temple and the century-old fortunate plum blossoms make for the most beautiful ancient plums. The shadows of the flowers in front of the Buddha are poetic and picturesque. Today is not sunny, but it's still very beautiful!
🧩 The blooming period of plum blossoms is not very long, and there are only a few days left this year to enjoy them. Friends who like them should hurry up and rush!

This year, it is expected to reach full bloom around the Lantern Festival.
Those who want to check it out should save this in advance, or you'll have to wait another year!
📷tips:
The plum blossom's peak blooming period attracts many visitors, so it's recommended to arrive before the temple opens in the morning, or else you will see a crowd of photography enthusiasts with their 'long guns and short cannons'.
The water tank on the right side of the Daxiong Hall is an excellent shooting spot, offering great reflections. It's very popular, so you may need to queue up for a civilized photo shoot.
You can wear traditional Chinese clothing, such as ancient costumes or cheongsams, to match the temple's yellow walls, lanterns, and eaves for portrait photography. Snapping a photo with a passing monk can also be quite a fateful experience.

Iron Buddha Temple
After breakfast, I went for a walk in the Xiangwang Park, which is located at the site of Fengsheng Gate, one of the old city gates of Huzhou. It is said that Xiang Yu led 8,000 disciples from the east of the Yangtze River to attack the tyrannical Qin dynasty, and they broke through this gate, which is why Fengsheng Gate is also known as 'Overlord's Gate'. In the afternoon, I explored the ancient temple and admired the plum blossoms at the thousand-year-old Iron Buddha Temple in Huzhou. In front of the hall, there are two hundred-year-old rare plum trees, both of which are charming six-petaled red plums. Su Dongpo once praised the six-petaled plum tree as a sacred tree. Especially today, to see the smile of the thousand-year-old Guanyin was indeed a blessing! In the evening, I went to see the lights of Huzhou and enjoy the night view. What a perfect day.

Having seen all the plum blossoms in the south of the Yangtze River, I still find the hundred-year-old plum blossoms in the Iron Buddha Temple the most stunning!!!
Having seen all the plum blossoms in the south of the Yangtze River, I still find the Iron Buddha Temple the most stunning. Such a small place, it's a landscape hidden under the monk's robe, and also a romantic place deeply loved by plants and trees.
On the side of the golden pagoda, there are two ancient plum trees, which have long accompanied the ancient Buddha with green lamps, heard Zen, and understood Tao. A hundred years is just a snap of the fingers.
'Jiangnan has nothing, I give you a branch of spring'.
A hundred years is just a snap of the fingers.
These two plum trees are located in the Iron Buddha Temple in Huzhou. They bloom on time every Spring Festival. It is said that they were planted during the Republic of China period and have been around for about a hundred years. They are a kind of ancient red plum tree, and each flower has six petals, which is particularly rare and precious.

I was eagerly waiting at the temple gate, and later the staff saw me pitiful,
Picked me up from the back door, the sun came out and didn't take a few shots,
Then rolled back to Hangzhou to check in for work~
.
This place is really too~small~popular~
