#Yasaka-jinja Shrine Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Japan Travels: Yasaka Shrine & Maruyama Park
#hiddengems
An unforgettable experience wandering into this amazing shrine and beautiful park in Gion Kyoto. It may sometimes be overlooked by tourists while travelling to Kyoto but we would recommend these two spots to explore this hidden gem.
The entrance of Yasaka Shrine is very magical and it’s like stepping into a new world. The shrine is very big, a lot of temple houses and historical buildings to look around. They also have fortune prayer cards for people to purchase for keepsakes, we enjoy the traditional culture of the shrine and toss a coin to give our prayers.
We went to Maruyama Park later on where it’s connected next to the shrine. it’s a gorgeous park with a lot of scenery to look around, there is a huge pond, stone bridges and a lot of flower fields to appreciate the Mother Nature. It’s a quiet place for a relaxation and meditate, away from all the work and noises in the city. There are even small tortoises and ducks around the pond and they are so adorable to watch.
Yasaka-jinja Shrine
The Yasaka-jinja shrine is a Shinto shrine dating back to the year 656. Despite its age, the buildings and the grounds were very well maintained. We followed recommendations to visit at night because the weather was cooler and there were few people, and the shrine is beautifully lit up. It is also near the Gion district which is buzzing with shops, restaurants, and bars, so we grabbed a nice bowl of ramen nearby afterwards.

Dedication of Bugaku at Yasaka Shrine Kyoto
Kyoto is full of historical shrines and temples, many of which have less well-known celebrations spread throughout the year. On the 3rd November, I stumbled across this event at the Yasaka Shrine.
The Dedication of Bugaku at the Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto takes place every year and consists of traditional dance, music and ceremony to honour the deities of the shrine. It was performed exclusively for the Japanese court for 1200 years, until after WWII when it was opened to the public.
I loved this insight into ancient Japanese dance and culture. First, the musicians entered, all wearing traditional costume and carrying their instruments. Once they started playing, they were followed by a series of performers, each of whom collected a traditional staff and completed a formal dance. They were then replaced by local schoolchildren who completed a group dance dressed in bird costumes.

The most famous shrine in the Gion area and a patron of the arts with a 1,350 year history, Yasaka Shrine, or Gion-sha, is a beautiful site full of character and natural charm. Susano’o no Mikoto, a great god of storms and sea in Japanese mythology is worshiped there alongside his wife Kushiinada-hime and the Yahashira no Mikogami, their eight children. The colorful shrine is a popular spot for tourists and its street-facing two-storied vermilion gate is a district landmark. Once inside the gate you can access several subsidiary shrines, some of which are famous for things such as helping you become beautiful or find love in a relationship. The main hall is a lovely sight with the prayer hall in front of it strung with lanterns serving as the stage for many a cultural performance throughout the year, particularly those performed by the geisha from nearby districts. #kyoto #visitjapan #passionpassport

A hotel I'll keep returning to forever!!! An unforgettable experience for a lifetime
A hotel in Kyoto I'll keep returning to forever! Just got back! Staying in Kyoto like this is super suitable for a city walk.
The place I chose to stay, although located in Kyoto's CBD, is situated in the quiet yet popular Gion Shirakawa area. It's peaceful amidst the hustle and bustle, and the surrounding streetscapes are beautiful~ There's a convenience store downstairs, several bus stops and subway stations within a 5-10 minute walk, plus there are many hidden gem dining options nearby. I would probably stay here again next time.
Nearby delicacies:
Hiro Yakiniku
Right downstairs, a yakiniku restaurant that amazed me during my trip to Japan! Although it's a chain, both service and quality are top-notch, and the ingredients are super impressive. Unforgettable at first try.
Toku Yakiniku
Also downstairs (this hotel is really surrounded by great food), if you can't get a reservation at Hiro Yakiniku, you can settle for Toku Yakiniku. The meat quality is slightly less than Hiro's, but the offal platter is worth a try~
Pontocho Hachijuhachi Yakitori
Just cross the Sanjo Ohashi Bridge to get to Pontocho. During my four days and three nights in Kyoto, I almost went to this place every day for skewers because they are just too delicious.
Surrounding walking routes:
For a first visit to Kyoto, it's perfect to spend half a day on a leisurely city walk. Experience the Edo-flavored, intricately mixed Kyoto town streets, and in the evening, pick a yakiniku or yakitori spot to pair with a chilled drink.
Gion Shirakawa - Miyagawacho - Ninenzaka - Five-story Pagoda - Yasaka Shrine - Pontocho
Woke up at 4:00 AM to capture the ambiance of cherry blossoms in Kyoto, Japan, which is the ceiling of atmosphere
Some say 'Kyoto is in Japan, but the real Japan is in Kyoto.'
There are many cherry blossoms in Japan, either in clusters or a particularly large one in a courtyard style.
And the most famous among them is the century-old cherry tree at Sanneizaka in Kyoto.
To shoot the blue hour cherry blossom scene, one must wake up early, get up at 4 AM and arrive by 5 AM.
There are hardly any people shooting, most are around Yasaka Pagoda.
The beauty is visible to the naked eye, live photos straight out.
By 6 AM, it starts to get crowded, and by 6:30, it's practically overflowing.
(Kyoto is really competitive! 😭 Many people might not even be up by 6:30!)
-
📍Location: Ninenzaka Sannenzaka, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City, 2 Chome Kiyomizu
🎫Admission: Free
Shooting Date: March 29, 2024 (Currently in full bloom, viewing period is 2 weeks)
🚗Transportation: Navigate to 'Myohoyenotei', take bus routes 202, 206, or 207 to Kiyomizu-michi Station
‼️Recommended Route: Ninenzaka Sannenzaka ➡️ Yasaka Pagoda ➡️ Kiyomizu-dera ➡️ Hanami-koji ➡️ Yasaka Shrine
-
◽️Tips:
☑️ Ninenzaka Sannenzaka, Yasaka Tower Kiyomizu-dera, are unique street landscapes of Kyoto.
The shops along the street and the visitors wearing kimonos make you feel as if you've traveled back to the shogunate era.
☑️ The sightseeing route I recommend is along the way, and if you want to see cherry blossoms, you can also go to Kyoto Imperial Palace and Kamo River, which are both in full bloom right now.
☑️Kyoto's cherry blossom season is very crowded, so it's advised to go out early and return early for a much better experience.
🪭 Mushroom Shrine in real life!
#japantrip
Thought that this is one of the must visit places in Kyoto! Regardless for religious or leisure purpose, please prepare to wipe your eyes shine and enjoy this place with full of Japanese shrine!
Our initial plan was to came here in the morning but we never keep up with the plan so ended up here in evening. However, it turns out to be more beautiful than what we expected!
Psst! The entrance is free of charge!
Explore the mysterious flower streets of Kyoto
If you want to avoid the crowds, set off from Hoshino OMO5 Kyoto Gion at 7 am and follow the hotel guide for a walking tour of Kyoto's most secretive spots.
📷Hanami-Koji
As an ancient flower street in Japan, it perfectly preserves the architectural style of the Edo period. The wooden machiya on both sides were places where Kabuki actors lived, learned, and performed. It's interesting to listen to the guide's stories that are not known to the public.
📷Yasui Konpiragu
In the shrine, there's a huge ema-shaped rock with a large hole in the middle. According to the guide, crawling through the hole can dispel bad luck and bring good fortune, if you believe in it.
📷Hokan-ji Temple Yasaka Pagoda
A landmark of Kyoto, visible from many places. The guide will take you to the best angle for photos, capturing the most beautiful Kyoto through winding paths.
📷Yasaka Shrine
The most popular shrine in Kyoto, it's quite peaceful in the morning. This is the time to take photos and enjoy the shrine all to yourself.
OMO5 is just a street away from Yasaka Shrine, and staying at the hotel allows you to join the tour for free every day. It's not far to walk to Kiyomizu Temple, Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, and Kodai-ji Temple, which is especially suitable for a Kyoto city walk. Only by exploring in the early morning and evening can you discover the true essence of Kyoto.
A day trip to Tokyo today!!!
Kyoto day trip without taking the wrong path
Route: 1. Kiyomizu-dera 2. Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka 3. Yasaka Shrine
4. Gion Hanami Lane 5. Fushimi Inari Shrine
The first four checkpoints are all together, follow my route and you won't take a detour, after visiting these four, just switch to the subway, bus, or take a taxi to Fushimi Inari Shrine.
Although there are many people in Kyoto, Kyoto is so distinctive, it looks good no matter how you take pictures.
Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka are also the most crowded places in Kyoto, it's better to get there around nine o'clock for photos, as there will be relatively fewer people, and it gets very crowded at noon and in the afternoon.
There are many small alleys in Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka to explore, some alleys are less crowded and look great for photos.
There are also many shops in the scenic area that rent kimonos and offer makeup services, and the costumes make the photos even better.
You can spend a whole morning exploring Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka, and then head to Yasaka Shrine, which I think is just average, right across the street is Gion Hanami Lane.
Fushimi Inari Shrine requires a change of transportation, I suggest spending an afternoon there, because it's big and beautiful, great for taking pictures. You can refer to another one of my notes, which has many pictures of Fushimi Inari Shrine.
Kyoto truly represents Japan today, very characteristic, I hope everyone can take photos to their satisfaction.
SAVE THIS POST FOR YOUR CHERRY BLOSSOM SPOT!
If you’re heading to Japan soon, don’t miss out on this beautiful temple located in Kyoto, Japan! Yasaka-jinja Shrine is a perfect spot, when I was there I rented my gown in the morning (best time because no crowd and wide assortment of choices to choose from!) shortly after, I headed in my kimono to this popular spot in my saved list to tick this off my bucket list, no regrets! Kyoto is the most suitable city for citywalk night tours!!!
I came to Kyoto for a citywalk in December, walking 20,000 steps every day, ah, Kyoto is the best!!!
Accommodation:
If you are touring the three cities of Kansai, I recommend staying near JR Kyoto Station
For a deep tour of Kyoto, I recommend staying near Shijo Karasuma Oike
Gion, Kamogawa, Pontocho are all within walking distance
I just wandered around as I pleased for a night
I was fascinated by the happy nightlife of Kyoto!!!
⛱️Shijo Street:
The main road here in Shijo, similar to Huaihai Middle Road in Shanghai, various brand flagship stores, trendy buyer shops, the flow of people is also the kind that is immobile, just out of the subway, I saw a super large LV, at that time I thought: Huh? It's completely different from the ancient capital style I imagined
Suitable for shopping and buying
⛱️Around Shijo:
The nearby Nishiki Market, Teramachi Kyogoku Shopping Street, various coffee shops, handmade shops, grocery stores in the small alleys, each one looks very exquisite and charming, you can spend many afternoons, aimlessly exploring, similar to the high-end version of Jufu Chang, Wu Zhong Road Changshu Road
🏞️Kamogawa:
The two words Kamogawa alone are a symbol of romance, and I found that people who are dazed and chatting on Kamogawa are indeed evenly distributed, some Japanese social etiquette
⛩️ Gion
Along Shijo Street, past Kamogawa, is the Gion area, Hanami Koji and so on are very popular with tourists, mixed with European, American, Chinese, Korean and Taiwanese accents, not many Japanese tourists, the restaurant owner said at night, Kyoto people don't come to play much
emmm maybe it's like the Confucius Temple, Quanzhou West Street, the main attractions that every city has, must check in, but there are many people haha
🌌 Near Gion
Yasaka Shrine is the most famous shrine in Kyoto, open 24 hours, and indeed very beautiful and grand
Kenninji Temple is at the end of Hanami Koji, Kyoto's oldest Zen temple, stops opening at 16:30, must take off shoes to enter, very quiet, can sit on the wooden platform to watch the courtyard dry landscape, daze for a long time
I feel that the essence of Gion is those small alleys that branch out, the shops here are very subtle, mysterious, Japanese-style sliding wooden doors are hidden, small curtains are hanging, if you don't look closely, you definitely don't know what it is, if you look closely, you may not know (makes people want to go in more)
Is this the charm of holding a pipa half-covered?
Anyway, after strolling around for half a day, experiencing the Edo style, meeting geishas, accidentally eating delicious teppanyaki and takoyaki, I happily returned to the vicinity of Shijo and went to Pontocho~
🍸Pontocho
This is the place where "Spring Night is Short, Go Ahead, Girl" girls fight wine, in reality it is also a bar street, a very long alley, all the way is food, unfortunately I was full, there are many good-looking jazz bars, vaguely floating out 🎶
There are also more weird and strange small alleys connected to the left and right, and you will unexpectedly encounter small shops with strange styles
One night to explore, really not enough! I really envy people who live in Kyoto for a long time~
🥩Kiyamachi
Finally, I walked back to the hotel along another street, Kiyamachi, this street was full of Japanese people chatting at the door after the party, it must be a food street that locals love to come to eat, try it another day
Kyoto and Nara One-Day Tour CityWalk Complete Guide
🇯🇵Kyoto and Nara One-Day Tour🚗CityWalk Complete Guide👣
🌸Early in the morning, we set out from Osaka, driving towards Kyoto.🚗 The scenery along the way was picturesque, and after about an hour, we arrived at this ancient capital.🏞️
🏯Our first stop was Kiyomizu-dera. This World Heritage Site and the matchmaking shrine of Japan made us feel the weight of history and the splendor of culture.🌼 Although there were no maple leaves to embellish the scene, it was still stunningly beautiful. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance; remember to bring cash for the amulets!🙏
🛍️Next, we visited Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka. These streets resembled the ancient streets in our country, with a dazzling array of trinkets and delicacies.🍡 The old machiya houses retained their traditional charm. If you're a fan of Hayao Miyazaki, don't forget to check out the Acorn Republic on Ninenzaka!🌰
🏞️Ishibei-koji is a relatively lesser-known street, but it's filled with a mysterious and quiet sense of history.🛶 The surrounding private homes and high-end restaurants give off a sense of exclusivity and luxury. Although there's a no-photography sign at the entrance, this place is definitely a great spot for a citywalk!🚶♀️
🌸Gion's Hanami-koji was the filming location for 'Memoirs of a Geisha'.🎬 Geisha teachers still train here to this day. During cherry blossom season, we even encountered a few geishas walking with paper umbrellas, which was incredibly lucky!🌸
⛩️Yasaka Shrine is a great spot to visit without needing a ticket.🌈 We got our desired health amulets here, which made us so happy!🙆
🦉The Senbon Torii gates at Fushimi Inari Taisha are not to be missed.🌏 Stepping into this place is like entering another world. The 'Senbon Torii' path is really photogenic, and we had a blast taking pictures!📸 We heard there's a New Year's wish festival in January, and we must come back next time!🎉
🦌Finally, we arrived at Nara Park.🍪 We bought a pack of deer crackers and fed the adorable deer. Meeting a bowing deer was just too cute! However, be careful of the deer with 'Under Investigation' signs; they can be a bit temperamental!😅
🚗After the one-day tour, we chose to take a chartered car back to Osaka.💨 This mode of transportation is both convenient and comfortable, perfect for travel enthusiasts like us.👭 If you also want to go on a spontaneous trip, why not try chartering a car!🚘
Step by step, I'll teach you how to travel freely in Kyoto without getting lost!

Don't miss the magical temples and shrines when you go to Japan
Japan's temples and shrines are numerous and varied in style, with their unique aesthetics. These are the temples that impressed me on this trip
1️⃣ Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto: Be sure to go at dusk, this shrine is full of yellow lanterns, and there are many snack stalls in front of the shrine, which feels like a summer festival in Japanese anime.
2️⃣ Namba Yasaka Shrine in Osaka: The lion is the main body of the shrine, said to symbolize the devouring of evil spirits, with a strong visual impact, hidden in a small road near the city center of Osaka, there are many people taking pictures and coming to worship.
3️⃣ Hase Temple in Kamakura: On the day in Kamakura, I encountered cloudy weather and couldn't see Mount Fuji, but this temple made my trip worthwhile. The architectural style and layout inherit many characteristics of Chinese temples, and the little Bodhisattvas on the grass make people enter the magical world of Japanese anime. There are also landscape ponds, grottoes, etc. in the temple, which are rich in content and worth a visit.
4️⃣ The Great Buddha of Kamakura: Japan has many such 'giants', and the Great Buddha of Kamakura is a very famous one. It is also one of the locations for the anime Slam Dunk. If you go to Kamakura for fun, you can see the Great Buddha in addition to the sea
This article only recommends from an aesthetic perspective and does not involve any religious issues. There are many temples in Japan, and you may discover those interesting and niche ones during the city walk, such as Toji Temple in Kyoto, Tenmangu Shrine in Osaka, etc.
Yasaka Shrine
#thingstodo
Exploring Yasaka Shrine at night is an experience that appeals to the soul. The shrine’s grounds, expansive and yet intimate, offer a multitude of pathways that lead to hidden corners and serene alcoves. Each turn reveals a new vista, from the majestic main hall, resplendent in its nighttime attire, to the smaller auxiliary shrines that dot the landscape, each with its own story and spiritual significance.
The beauty of Yasaka Shrine at night lies not only in its visual spectacle but also in the profound sense of peace it bestows upon its visitors. It is a place where the hustle of modern life fades away, allowing for moments of reflection and connection with the spiritual lineage of Japan.
Experience of staying in two hostels in Kyoto~
1⃣️Gion Ryokan Q-beh
First four pictures
Attractions: Yasaka Shrine, Gion,
Soundproofing: Quiet without street noise, no zipper curtain noise, air conditioning noise
Checkout: 12 noon
Storage: The bed is tatami, put next to the tatami➕first floor luggage room for suitcases (no lock but with camera)
Bed: 8-person room (just me
Bathing: 2 bathrooms on the first floor, didn't go to see....
Suitcase: The crane (for women only) where I stayed is Japanese style, the room has tatami so it's not suitcase friendly, there are steps and slippers as soon as you enter the check-in hall, and there is no elevator, so it's recommended for backpackers!
The biggest advantage: Japanese style, room names are very meaningful
The biggest disadvantage: Not suitcase friendly?
2⃣️B&B unagi inn
Last four pictures
Attractions: Kyoto Station, Kyoto Tower, Higashi and Nishi Honganji
Soundproofing: No street noise, with zipper curtain, air conditioning noise
Checkout: 10 a.m.
Storage: Under-bed storage (shared by bunk beds)
Bed: 10➕person room (a few scattered stays
Bathing: There are three bathrooms on the women's only floor, with toiletries
Suitcase: Traditional hostel suitcase under the bed, with elevator
The biggest advantage: Women's only floor, no men on the whole floor
The biggest disadvantage: Zipper curtain, average location, actually 18min walk from Kyoto Station
🛏Room facilities:
Overall, both hostels are very good, the one near Kyoto Station is a bit cheaper, and it's suitcase friendly. But the one in Gion is very interesting and less crowded hhh
Yasaka Shrine
#2024wish
This shrine is in the Gion district of Kyoto. It is a beautiful and historic Shinto shrine that is well worth a visit. It is located in close proximity to Maruyama Park. The shrine is famous for its beautiful vermilion gate, or torii, which marks the entrance to the shrine. Once inside, visitors can explore the beautiful grounds and various buildings, including the main hall and worship hall. The shrine is particularly popular during the Gion Festival, one of Japan's most famous festivals, which takes place in July. Overall, Yasaka Shrine is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Japanese culture, history, and architecture, and provides facilties for prayers, Omikuji and buying lucky charms.
I want to come back here this year.
Yasaka Shrine Kyoto 🕍
#2024wish
Located near to the bustling area of Kyoto, Gion is an old shrine visited by a lot of tourists around the world and known as the headquarter among all the Yasaka Shrine and Gion Shinto Shina nationwide.
Highly recommend to visit here early in the morning if you would like to take a lot of instagrammable pictures as it will be super crowded at noon. Alternatively, visiting here at night is a good choice as well as they will light up all the lanterns at the temple and it is so beautiful.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
In 2024, I wish to travel to Perth, Australia.
Yasaka Jinja Shrine Kyoto
#fallishere
There is something about ancient shrines in Kyoto Japan. They are stunning in their own ways and display an aura of majesticness as it stands tall in today's day and age. I love the Yasaka Jinja shrine in Kyoto as it stands out in its red colour building. Everything there is well preserved and you still see devotees worshipping there ar this shrine. This place is one of the must visit sites on Kyoto so do note that it can get quite packed at times. Otherwise, still a great place to visit!
Kyoto 🌸 Cherry Blossoms Splendor | Spring Japan Travel
When spring comes, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and the branches, chopsticks and chopsticks are everywhere. Every time I go to Kyoto to enjoy cherry blossoms, the whole person will be fascinated by the gorgeous pink and white cherry blossoms.
·
The sad beauty of cherry blossoms has long been an important element of Japanese aesthetics. Even without the filter of bright sunshine, viewing cherry blossoms on rainy days is a limited beauty only in Kyoto.
·
The following hats are here to give you an inventory of some popular check-in spots for cherry blossom viewing in Kyoto. If you have the opportunity, you must travel~
·
🌸 Kiyomizu Temple
There are about 1,500 cherry trees in the temple, and the scenery of "Shimizu Stage" reflecting the cherry blossoms in the inner courtyard is picturesque. After night, the three-storied pagoda or the Kiyomizu Stage under the lights can also enjoy the cherry blossoms at night
·
🌸Ninenzaka, Sannenzaka
After leaving Kiyomizu Temple, the slope full of Kyoto style is a group of traditional Japanese buildings. The old machiya buildings with red shell lattice and insect cage windows are preserved along the way, full of charm
·
🌸Stone path
Walking in the quiet century-old slate alleyway, the quaint old houses and slate roads on both sides form an interesting contrast, creating a timeless style of the ancient capital.
·
🌸Gion・Hanakoji
There are no flowers in the flower street. As the oldest flower street in Japan, it is a famous geisha place. The design of the flower street willow alley and stone road is quite artistic in the spring flower season.
·
🌸 Yasaka Shrine
When the cherry blossom season comes, people come here one after another. During the day, they ask for lottery and write ema. At night, the dance hall of the shrine is full of lanterns, and the cherry blossoms are more beautiful and romantic.
·
🌸Superior Lotus Temple
Shangpin Liantai Temple, a little-known cherry blossom viewing temple, weeping cherry blossoms at the entrance, divine spirit and fairy spirit coexist.
·
🌸 Fushimi ten stone boat
Tall cherry blossoms grow on both sides of the river, pink cherry blossoms spread above the river, and there is a sea of willows and cherry blossoms. Taking Shishizhou here, you can not only enjoy cherry blossoms, but also encounter cherry blossom rain.
·
🌸Changtoku Temple
Chotoku-ji Temple is next to the exit of Demachiyanagi Station on the Keihan Tram. It is one of the best places to enjoy early cherry blossoms in Kyoto. When the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, they are extremely beautiful.
If it's not obvious yet, I love visiting shrines and temples, and I am happy that I live in Japan because there are a lot of those here. Another shrine that is always jam-packed is Yasaka Shrine. It is a Shinto Shrine located in the Gion district of Kyoto, that is why it was formerly called the Gion Shrine. The cutest sight when I was there were the huge number of people wearing Yukatta, a traditional Japanese outfit. I really wanted to take some photos of them but I was really shy. Haha!
#wintergetaway
Yasaka Shrine, also known as Gion Shrine, is one of the most famous shrines in Kyoto. Founded over 1350 years ago, the shrine is located between the popular Gion District and Higashiyama District, and is often visited by tourists walking between the two districts. #wintergetaway

A trip to Kyoto, there is an attraction not to be missed, that is, the Yasaka Shrine, which is close to the park. The Yasu Shrines annual garden festival is one of Japans three major festivals. The main sacrifices include the sacred sacred gods, the rice field martyrdom, and the eight-column prince.
It is one of the most famous and oldest shrines in the Kansai region of Japan. It used to be a place where gods and Buddhas are united. The
shrine hall is called "the garden only" and is a unique shrine building in Japan. It is an important cultural heritage designated by Japan.
[Kifu Photo Guide]
Maple Season The most important thing to come to Kyoto is to experience the kimono!
Stayed in Japan for many years. In fact, the yukata is worn every year, but wearing the kimono for the first time is the late autumn maple leaf. The tour was about to be near the Yasaka Shrine. I thought about the red shop tekuteku. I thought about the absence of their branch near the Yasaka Shrine. I was close to Okamoto Kimono, and it was 30 seconds at the entrance of the Yasaka Shrine.
It turned out to be much easier. The whole process was not run very far, the photographer's film rate was extremely high, and I was very happy to have fun. h
Okamoto kimono shop is a veteran, and the Yasaka Shrine shop opened soon, renovation Very stylish, the wood is very windy and there is a tatami lounge. Kyoto Kimono is generally much more expensive than Tokyo. I have spent 7,000 yen on an umbrella (the average Tokyo price is around 3,500 yen, and the good looks are comparable)
There are three grades in their kimono category. The most affordable price is about 4,000 yen, but basically the plain color can't pick anything out. The middle gear can't pick anything in the circle, so go straight to 6000.
Yasaka Shrine, full of cherry blossom trees, the Japanese ushered in the most romantic time of the year
cherry blossom season, specially flew to Kyoto to see cherry blossoms, but currently the cherry blossoms in Kyoto only opened 50%, visual inspection of the holiday in Kyoto The cherry blossoms will be ushered in. However, the cherry blossoms in Kyoto are relatively early, and the Yasaka Shrine is one of them. At present, the cherry blossoms of the Yasaka Shrine have ushered in the heyday of Sakura Blowing Snow.
Hachiman Shrine is located in the only garden, very close to the Kiyomizu-dera Temple. It is the total body of about 3,000 Yasaka Shrines in Japan, and the nickname is only the garden, and it is free to visit. During the cherry blossom season, the Yasaka Shrine is not only daytime but also lively at night. There are many food stalls that are not available on weekdays, just like temple fairs. It is especially praised that there are many tables and chairs placed under the blooming cherry trees. You can order some side dishes, beer, sake and the like. The price is not expensive, but each person needs to pay 500 yen for the seat fee.
Many local Japanese people are traveling together, sitting and chatting under the cherry tree, and there are cherry blossom petals falling from time to time. The scene is very beautiful and romantic.
If you come to Kyoto during the cherry blossom season, don't miss the night view of Yasaka Shrine, see the night cherry, and experience the feeling of sitting under the cherry tree.
One of the most famous shrines in Kyoto is said to be the headquarters of about 3,000 Yasaka Shrines in Japan. The regular ritual activity of the shrine is called the Gion Festival. The locals often go to the shrine to pray.
Entering from the South Gate, passing through the Stone Bird House, the Shenmen Gate, the first thing to see is the Kagura Hall (Dance Hall) with layers of lanterns hanging. The main entrance of the temple was closed at that time. The people who visited the temple were squatting and coin-operating in front of the building. I dont know if the gate will be opened during major festivals. This is very different from the fact that the domestic Buddhist temple is open to meet the good men and women. The Japanese people who visited the priests were very meticulous and consistently rigorous in their kimonos and modern costumes. In front of the Kagura Palace, there is a "Little Pond Home & Miyamoto-Married Style". The people in the temple who have white and red matching traditional dresses rehearse.
