Motels in Wellington Region, New Zealand

Hotel location is very good, in the center of Wellington, the parking lot is on the upper floor, to go up a steep slope, parking fee 15 NZ / day. The interior decoration is a bit antique and has a sense of history. The downside is that I arrived at the hotel on Christmas Eve, and the front desk was closed (should be at 7 pm), saying that I sent an email to me, but I didn't find it in fact. Still the cleaning guy, contacted me, opened the key box, and got the key.

The room is very clean, the layout is very reasonable, the room temperature is particularly warm, the service is very good, will stay next time

A nice clean big room which I would’ve enjoyed more if the room didn’t smell like wet dog. I didmt complain or ask for a different room. So my bad. I was only there for 1 night. And I bought an air freshener from the shop. It didn’t help sadly. Or having the windows open or the fan on. The room had potential otherwise. The bed was comfy, the shower was great. There was a little kitchenette also. It was just a shame it smelled bad.

The reservation was for Lower Hart, but the hotel location is some distance from Lower Hart. The sanitation is slightly worse, the quilt is darker, and it feels unwashed.

We absolutely loved our stay (15/04/2026 – 17/04/2026)! It started with such a warm, helpful welcome at reception and only got better from there. The rooms are huge and fully equipped—having a kitchen was a total lifesaver since we prefer home-cooked meals over eating out. Thank you for a wonderful experience; we highly recommend it.

we had a very good experience staying at this motel. the lady at the reception was very polite and helpful. we had all the amenities required to make our stay comfortable. the parking was right outside our room. the shower had the right pressure and the bathroom roomy and very clean. highly recommended.

Perfectly adequate sized rooms, but space is not generous. Shared bathrooms can be a nuisance if you are busting. Really needs separate toilets. Quiet street (for a central city) and easy to walk to from Courtney Place/Cuba St, etc. Very attentive concierge. Very good value - you get what you pay for.

Great owners, heaps of space. Needed a bit of help with the shower as it was hard to get it at a nice temp(either too hot or too cold). Otherwise good stay, the location is fantastic 3 min to the outlet mall, 3 min to the train station and 5-10 min to countdown.

Although I didn't stay, I still gave a 5-star praise. When we arrived, we were worried about the ticket to picton. We followed the advice of the little girl at the front desk and went directly to the pier to see luck. Because the ferry tickets from Wellington to picton need to be booked in advance, we have been swiping tickets but there is no right time. After arriving at the pier, luck was really good and we bought the ferry tickets so our subsequent itinerary was not affected. Very interesting experience!

We originally booked a queen bed but my dad wanted two singles and they were really accommodating and even upgraded us to a bigger room with more amenities, really great stay, beds were comfy and room was very clean 😁
