The lady at the front desk was very rude. I think her name was Martinez? Everyone else aside from her were very nice. Room was pretty good too.

This the second time that I booked this hotel in my way back to home. Unfortunately this time the room didn’t have fridge although it was mentioned in the booking and one of the comforters had stain on it. The staff was great and friendly as before

The cheap parking is a plus (5 dollars). It's also close to the airport, making it ideal for those who have rented a car. However, the facilities are a bit old, and as other reviewers have mentioned, the drain plug in the bathroom was rusty. Amenities are also limited; there are no toothbrushes, only towels, body soap, shampoo with conditioner, a cup, and a hairdryer. However, considering the cost of accommodation, I think it's a great deal, and the woman at the reception was very kind.

The place was clean and simple, perfectly adequate for our needs. It's located just steps away from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The room was spotless and tidy. The bathroom was very functional and well-maintained. We'd definitely consider staying here again.

This is my experience with Union Hotel. What you see is what you get. If you are not that choosy for a quick stay (2-3 nights) should I say, then you can stay here, less expensive and economically sound for a traveler. However, there are only 2 toilet rooms and 1 shower room per floor with 12-15 single/double bed rooms sharing that amenities. This is a 4 story cute hotel, and there is no elevator. So watch out if you carry heavy luggage as it will burden you. There is no front desk like a typical hotel, you need to enter a gated (with buzzer) door, and the owner will meet you at the approaching alley in the 2nd Floor. Although there is a small lavatory inside the room. No A/C nor heater also. No blower as well. The location is very near at the 16th Street Bart Station but need to caution you during night time as this area is in Mission district and maybe “not so normal” people around the corner doing lot of things (I cannot confirm if they are doing bad, as I didn’t get closer to them), plenty of street dwellers also are present in the neighborhood, just be careful with your belongings when getting in the sideways.

Location: Pretty nearby the highway. Cleanliness: Bad, dead bug bodies inside the room and it seems long time no one used the room. Service: Front desk is an old man who is nice to share his electric fan with us due to the extremely hot weather in the night (AC can't cool down efficiently since it's too hot outside) Facilities: Covers standard need with travel, qualified as a motel.

I was impressed with my stay and had a comfortable night. Bed was super comfortable and woke up refreshed. Will definitely consider staying again on future visits

The room is spacious and clean. There are many restaurants around. It is close to the subway station and the transportation is convenient. It is very close to China city and it is very convenient to eat Chinese food. The front desk service is thoughtful.
