We had an amazing stay at this lovely homestay! The place was clean, cozy, and felt just like home. This hotel is a terrific experience. Very clean, the staff is wonderful, and it has a good location. They provided helpful support even though it was a very busy event weekend. We came from a Holiday Inn Express Hotel in London (that was supposedly well rated), and there is no comparison. Maybe it's because the Swiss tend to do things much more carefully, but this hotel is as good as much more expensive IHG hotels that I have stayed at across Europe and the U.S. I wish I could give it more stars!

Lovely hotel and wonderful service - the hotel has been renovated and has a very fresh and clean vibe. Rooms are very comfortable, beds are great! The service is magnificent. We were traveling with a 1,5 y/o and the staff was amazing! They were very sweet towards our little girl and actually sort of playing with her and giving her toys for loan. Most child friendly hotel we have every stayed at!! Easy access to get to the hotel and from hotel to Basel down town city centre. Great location, especially when traveling through to another location (in our case our stay was family in Basel, traveling to Kaprun for ski vacation)

Apart from the staff (who were really friendly and helpful) I can’t find anything to recommend this hotel. The first room we were given, the air conditioning didn’t work. The reception lady very kindly moved us to a different room but the air conditioning didn’t work either. The shower head was missing the proper bracket so you could only shower holding the spray head. The mattress on the bed was quite thin and not comfortable. Unless you have a dedicated Swiss adapter you can’t use any of the electrical sockets as they are all recessed into a triangular socket plate. So we couldn’t charge a phone or use my hairdryer (there isn’t one provided in the room). There is the option to buy an adapter from reception (the Swiss do like getting you to part with your money). Also, if you need to park your car it’s 10 Swiss francs a night. We stopped over for 1 night to break up a long drive from Italy to Calais, but won’t be stopping again.

RECEPTION We arrived late, but this late arrival was best organized and it worked smoothly. The next day the check-in was smooth and the staff were very friendly and premature at any time. Rooms These are large, clean and conveniently furnished. For families the family room is ideal - and very fair at the price! FRUHETYTUECK This was taken in the associated Coop restaurant - and this buffet was also generous, fresh and fine. LOCATION 2 minutes from the tram that is going to the centre of Basler in a few minutes. With the guest card the ÖV is on - super! We can only recommend this hotel!

Reception was very quick and efficient and the elevator is right next to it. The restaurant is across the hall from the reception. The room was a bit small but clean. The only odd thing throughout the hotel and even going into the restaurant is that there are small little dips going from the main floor into the restaurant, maybe only a half inch. It was the same going into our room. Slight step into the room then a short hallway with a slight dip again. Breakfast was good and the staff was super helpful. Appreciated the free transit pass.
