Baling Square Review

Not far from the place is Zhanyuemen, one of the ancient city gates on Yueyang's side. Although it is rebuilt, it is still re-made according to the previous drawings. It is still a very majestic place. When the weather is sunny, it is especially suitable for outdoor sports here.

Now is the citizen leisure square in the center of Yueyang City that everyone likes. Many people will fly kites here, or go to the side to see Dongting Lake, or a very lively place, the traffic is also very convenient.

There is an iconic sculpture in the central area of Baling Square, which explains the legend of Baling well. It is the back-to-back snake, and the bones are piled up in small hills by the Dongting Lake. This statue is really lifelike.

Near Yueyang Tower, it is very lively, there are many people at night, and the fireworks are strong.

去参观岳阳楼，先到巴陵广场。巴陵广场位于岳阳市中心城区主干道巴陵路的西端，西临洞庭湖，北侧就是岳阳美食街汴河街和岳阳楼公园，是去岳阳楼的必经之地，也是岳阳热闹的场所。这个面积4万多平方米的广场明显的标志就是那座高达16米的“后羿射巴蛇”雕塑，取自山海经巴蛇食象的故事，相传后羿曾斩巴蛇于洞庭湖，积骨成丘陵乃有岳阳，用神话传说诠释了岳阳这座城市“巴陵”称呼的来源，也体现着“羿射巴蛇，万民乃安”的意思。整个广场气势恢宏，中央广场周边为疏林草地，广场基本对称，突出东西向的城市历史发展轴，站在滨湖景观区的台阶上可欣赏到洞庭湖美景。平台直通水面，大气壮观。沿湖用岩石连城围栏，上面刻写着许多文人墨客留下的诗句，耐人寻味。广场边还有瞻岳门、博物馆等城楼，可将广场、洞庭湖景色一览无余

去过很多次，巴陵广场挨着洞庭湖，广场人也多，空气也好，也不用花钱！再不远，就是著名旅游景，江南三大民楼岳阳楼，值得去看，门票是80元每人！

1899年，英国人率先在岳阳城陵矶开商埠，设海关。古代水运优势大于陆运，岳阳南绾三湘，北控荆汉，岳阳城陵矶是极佳的渡口，是湖南的水运门户。现在交通便利，岳阳扼长江与湘江之汇，依然是湖南省的北大门。
