东风渠原为引黄灌溉渠道，2006年9月建成东风渠滨河公园。总面积约138.7万平方米，其中绿化面积约100.5万平方米，河道面积38.2万余平方米。公园定位为城市滨河生态景观带，融防洪、生态、景观、文化、游览于一体，并把旧铁路改造成铁路文化景观，体现郑州市铁路历史，十分值得一观。东风渠滨河公园现有4个景区16个景点，已成为郑州市区内重要的休闲娱乐场所之一，受到市民的好评。到这里散步，会让人感到十分的悠闲和惬意。最佳季节温带季风气候，四季皆宜出游。建议游玩可以在河边散步、骑行、拍照。东风渠旁边，有一组火车主题雕塑，名叫“1904公园”，非常有趣，适合拍照。建议游玩2个小时左右。
