文庙保存之完好出乎我的意料，毕竟经过清初的兵燹和太平天国运动的毁坏，已经有数百年了。江阴十日的起事处就在这里，当然知道的人不多。现在的大成殿空间较大，至少比南通文庙要大多了。文庙该有的棂星门，泮池，大成殿一应俱全。另外，里面的孔子像不知道是不是新建，如果是古文物，价值就很高了。现在的文庙基本被摊贩占据了，特色是：这里在卖花鸟鱼虫。
