Mulan Weichang (“Hunting Ground”) Review

Going in July, it is so beautiful! The blue sky and white clouds are full of green. On the green grass slope, the mountains and flowers are full. It is summer, and the eyes naturally lock the cool and pleasant dam grassland. Dam grassland is the closest grassland to Beijing, known as the "back garden of Beijing". The Bashang grassland is very large in scope, generally referring to the junction of Hebei Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, because of the unique climate and vegetation, the formation of a large area of meadow-style grassland. This belongs to the southeast end of the Inner Mongolia Plateau, and is called the "Bashang grassland" because of the steep rise from south to north. In terms of tourism area, the dam grassland can be divided into four "bashang" from west to east, namely Zhangbei Bashang (located in Zhangjiakou Zhangbei County), Wuyuan Bashang (located in Zhangjiakou Wuyuan County), Fengning Bashang (located in Fengning County, Chengde) and Mulan Pad (also known as the paddock dam, Located in Chengde Paichang County). The best time to travel on the dam grassland is from May to October, when you can see beautiful pictures everywhere: summer, blue sky and white clouds, green grass like green; autumn, thousands of mountains are red, wild fruit fragrance. In fact, winter is not bad, there are snow, Yushu Qionghua, only because of the cold cold, I have been unable to stand. This destination chose Mulan Padding and Ulan Butong Grassland. Mulan Padding is the most beautiful one in the four dams, and the farthest one. The origin of the Mulan paddock is 1681 AD, the Qing Dynasty Kangxi to exercise the army, calm the frontier, in the Saihanba area opened more than 10,000 square kilometers of hunting grounds, known as the "Mulan paddock". "Mulan" means "shouting deer" in Manchu, referring to soldiers blowing wooden whistles and mimicking deer to lure hunting beasts. Since then, the emperor has led the eight flags to hold a hunting event every autumn, which is known as "Mulan autumn hunting". By 1863, the three emperors of the Qing Dynasty Kangxi, Qianlong and Jiaqing held "Mulan Autumn Festival" in the paddock more than 105 times. The paddock was recorded in history due to the historical status of "Mulan Autumn Hunting". The area of Mulan paddock is vast, traditionally, Mulan paddock is composed of Saihanba National Forest Park, Yudaokou Grassland Forest Scenic Area, Hongsongwa National Nature Reserve and four major scenic spots in Ulan Butong grassland in Inner Mongolia. But because the first three scenic spots are in Hebei, and Ulan Butong belongs to Inner Mongolia, due to the division of administrative divisions, the latter gradually drifts away, and there is a trend of leaving the Mulan paddock. In fact, the effective scope of the Mulan Pad ticket does not include Ulan Butong , and the name on the ticket of Ulan Butong Scenic Area is: "Keshketeng World Geopark - Ulan Butong Park". Because the holiday is too short, we can't all go around, decided to go to Saihanba, Yudaokou and Ulan Butong three scenic spots, and endured the pain of cutting the red pine valley far from the planned route.
