占地400多平方米，约30间，并建有僧舍300 间，聚僧130人，成为环海地区较有影响的宁玛派寺院。该寺原来大经堂飞檐画栋，赭墙香饰，屋顶饰有金龙、经轮，佛坛香烟日夜镣绕，加之青海湖水风光，颇为壮观。
